I believe if it is under 250g, a hobbyist can fly without registering with the FAA. This baby weighs in at 249g. Although I may pay the $5 fee if I share the pics and vids on any monetization platforms.

Been researching drones for quite awhile and finally pulled the trigger. I think seeing some of the member videos and photos helped speed things along in my buying process Went with the DJI Mini 2 Fly More Combo. Was simple enough to get setup with the controller and airborne in a little over an hour. First flight I sent over my neighborhood then on the edge of the interstate... pretty sure you can't fly over them I could be wrong. Regardless, I hit the home button and it was ascending to heaven. Not sure if it was trying to catch up with the Webb Telescope or what, but I had to steer it back manually. All-in-all, an exciting initial flight...
