The Hand's Influence on the Morphology of The Brain
Timmah! replied to Timmah!'s topic in General Discussion
Sound in-part hokey...but the results have been replicated several times...repeatability being one metric of a theory's validity.. -
...& it's usefulness as an indicator of cognitive skillsets & ability of the brain to prevent cognitive decline. The relationship & influence of the brain on the hand & vice-versa is well-explained & a great example of the complex interplay of the influences of our environment & our chosen behaviors on our evolution. I find the longer ring finger & enjoying logic & problem solving to be accurate in my case.

Epic goodness! Such a treat to see these legends do their thing with SRV's signature song. Pure joy & love, immersed in their passion.

Damn br0, that's a tough row to hoe... is this a genetic thing that causes recurring problems with your joints? https://youtu.be/0CPJ-AbCsT8?t=124

Amazons, Martian Amazon Lesbians attack! Perhaps to some it would be 'unusual', not noteworthy to me. I mean, if it gives inspiration to a young lady of the lesbian persuasion, great...just not meriting a mention to me, anyways...

Why they ostensibly threw her sexual orientation in the title is beyond me...

We need to get @KaptCrunch on this, I smell conspiracy!

Yeap, there's a lot of people who have grown-up with the internet as their main mode of communication, never having enjoyed the immediate consequences of their obnoxious actions. This is what happens when they're no-longer one step removed. Very refreshing. Mr. Tyson was relentlessly bullied as a child growing up in the inner city. His refuge was the rooftops, taking solace & company with doves, pigeons. He's a retiring fellow who came out in better shape than many of us likely would have, given the circumstance into which he was born. His dad was a street thug, never present; his mom ran a br0thel out of their apartment, doing drugs & trying to get Mike addicted, until she died when he was 16. I admire him for making it out of such circumstance; for even surviving.

It's macabre comedy how dire & grave a tone the talking heads affect...& then the next day, It's as if the story no longer even exists; unworthy of even a mention. Selling fear, outrage, sensationalist speculation, even. Fuck them guys; selling others' misery as entertainment, for profit.

Nobody cares. The carnival gas moved on to covering Ukraine. If it bleeds, it leads.

Horse Hockey: that guy need an ass-wh00pin' & you know it. Don't bag on Mike just because he was yet again the unlucky focus of some feisty dumbasses' attention, whatever the motivation. One can only imagine the innumerable times he's been fucked with, victimized over his life. He grew up being bullied, harassed & beat-up on the daily. I'm sure this incident takes him back to those days to a greater or lesser degree; even if that weren't the case, a person that invades another's personal space in such a totally inconsiderate & aggressive manner is in dire need of an immediate ass kicking. And another for good measure. The then-kid's sole refuge in an inner-city hell hole was literally hanging out with pigeons & doves for solace & respite. Better get that log outta your eye before you criticize the splinter in another's.

Important message for my fellow gardening Idiots:

You can buy here for around $20.00 U.S. Surely there are reasonable prices to be found for you... If nothing else...I can mail you a bag I buy here in the U.S. It only needs to be applied once to the soil around the plant; either in the form of granules, or a drench of water-soluble powder to a garden or lawn. -
...yet, here you are.

A satirical synopsis of my perspective on the situation; with some free alliteration. Did you not process any of the obvious lyrics to the song, & their implication in relation to the situation? <--- Rhetorical question. (https://bit.ly/37ylnFF).

Right on. Here's my take, in a general sense. She's a BPD/Narcissist kinda person. He, as you said, is also troubled. She looks like a real-life Cruella Deville, & he reminds me of the troubled comportment & diction of one Marlon Brando. In the case of adults who otherwise have the means of independence, the dance of abuse is, I believe, a 2-person proposition. With each taking turns at the role of abuser & abused in many cases; with the abuser seemingly convinced, at times that they are actually a righteously vindictive victim, seeking retribution for past wrongs. It's a toxic worldview where the dichotomy is being either abused or the abuser. Seems people in this mindset are trying to work-out their past traumatic relationships with the other adult as the stand-in for that significant figure(s) from their past that laid the foundation for this bleak world view & their place(s) in it. Takes real work to transcend. Good luck to them both.

A more in-depth, yet easily digestible exposition: -
TLDR: If you do one thing for your garden, get this! Seriously. You can thank me later, at the end of your harvest season : SERIOUSLY. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007TFSK9M/ref=crt_ewc_title_srh_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A15AXJKB818ZDJ or this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003STB5N6?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Synopsis: Beneficial fungi known as Mycorrhizae have evolved alongside plant for at least 400,000,000 years or so. 90% of ALL plant life on the planet are in relationship with at least one species of mycorrhizae. Plants have evolved structures within their roots to host these fungi & a system to determine if to allow & the nature of that relationship. These fungi protect plants, bringing them nutrients out of their reach; they break-down nutrients to make them useable to plants, they warn all plants hooked into the massive network of existing dangers through the same mycelial network;; if a plant 1/4 mile away is being attacked by aphids, that plant will release chemical stress signals that will be transported along the network to all connected plants, enabling them to prepare. There's even insects that have concurrently evolved to read these signals & follow them to their source for an easy meal... predatory aphid-eating wasps, being an example. The fungi also make the plant more resistant to insect attack & other organisms such as fungal & bacterial attack. They also protect the plant from absorbing toxins, up to & including heavy metals: The mycorrhizal network will capture & isolate these dangerous metals & even pesticides to mitigate or prevent harm to it's plant hosts. The fungi also provide water availability, bringing that along the network, distributing it to the plants in need. Especially useful for tomato gardeners, protecting against the dreaded cat facing, blossom-end rot, splitting..etc. They help assuage the negative impact of the most stressful events for plants: Transplant shock. The fungi do all this because they've evolved to depend on the plants in the network for their very survival. What the plant gives them for all this help & protection is some carbohydrates for sustenance. It's a win-win for all involved. Fungi will even take some excess sugars from one plant & deliver it to another in need. They are gardeners & guardians in that they protect & feed all in the network, their life depends on it. While plants can only spread roots so far & even then only absorb nutrients from a relatively small area of their roots....mycorrhizae can cover vast areas, with all the entire length of their hyphae able to process nutrients... and at a much-smaller level than plants can...literally at a more-granular level. Plants wouldn't have been able to colonize the extent of earth they have if not for these critical symbiants. If you want markedly healthier plants with considerable increase in average yields, these are a must. Singularly top of the list. Whether you're growing flowers, fruits, vegetables, ornamentals...your hedges...trees....grass....any plant will benefit in many ways; noticeably so! Call it nature's 'Dark Web'....analogously so in that 90% of the internet is invisible & global, too. Although I don't use their product, this video nicely illustrates the concept: https://youtu.be/WttRfhRHsLo And this is another fantastic illustration; actual video of the relationship in-process: https://youtu.be/PpQsFjEIQUM If you would like any further explanation or help, suggestions, feel free to contact me. Again, I can't understate the value & importance of the benefits for any plant, even your lawn.
