  1. A more in-depth, yet easily digestible exposition:
  2. TLDR: If you do one thing for your garden, get this! Seriously. You can thank me later, at the end of your harvest season : SERIOUSLY. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007TFSK9M/ref=crt_ewc_title_srh_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A15AXJKB818ZDJ or this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003STB5N6?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details Synopsis: Beneficial fungi known as Mycorrhizae have evolved alongside plant for at least 400,000,000 years or so. 90% of ALL plant life on the planet are in relationship with at least one species of mycorrhizae. Plants have evolved structures within their roots to host these fungi & a system to determine if to allow & the nature of that relationship. These fungi protect plants, bringing them nutrients out of their reach; they break-down nutrients to make them useable to plants, they warn all plants hooked into the massive network of existing dangers through the same mycelial network;; if a plant 1/4 mile away is being attacked by aphids, that plant will release chemical stress signals that will be transported along the network to all connected plants, enabling them to prepare. There's even insects that have concurrently evolved to read these signals & follow them to their source for an easy meal... predatory aphid-eating wasps, being an example. The fungi also make the plant more resistant to insect attack & other organisms such as fungal & bacterial attack. They also protect the plant from absorbing toxins, up to & including heavy metals: The mycorrhizal network will capture & isolate these dangerous metals & even pesticides to mitigate or prevent harm to it's plant hosts. The fungi also provide water availability, bringing that along the network, distributing it to the plants in need. Especially useful for tomato gardeners, protecting against the dreaded cat facing, blossom-end rot, splitting..etc. They help assuage the negative impact of the most stressful events for plants: Transplant shock. The fungi do all this because they've evolved to depend on the plants in the network for their very survival. What the plant gives them for all this help & protection is some carbohydrates for sustenance. It's a win-win for all involved. Fungi will even take some excess sugars from one plant & deliver it to another in need. They are gardeners & guardians in that they protect & feed all in the network, their life depends on it. While plants can only spread roots so far & even then only absorb nutrients from a relatively small area of their roots....mycorrhizae can cover vast areas, with all the entire length of their hyphae able to process nutrients... and at a much-smaller level than plants can...literally at a more-granular level. Plants wouldn't have been able to colonize the extent of earth they have if not for these critical symbiants. If you want markedly healthier plants with considerable increase in average yields, these are a must. Singularly top of the list. Whether you're growing flowers, fruits, vegetables, ornamentals...your hedges...trees....grass....any plant will benefit in many ways; noticeably so! Call it nature's 'Dark Web'....analogously so in that 90% of the internet is invisible & global, too. Although I don't use their product, this video nicely illustrates the concept: https://youtu.be/WttRfhRHsLo And this is another fantastic illustration; actual video of the relationship in-process: https://youtu.be/PpQsFjEIQUM If you would like any further explanation or help, suggestions, feel free to contact me. Again, I can't understate the value & importance of the benefits for any plant, even your lawn.

  6. I still gotta get those banana breads out; still have the addresses. Never worry about nudity from me; that's on Onlyfriends.
  7. Heynow!! Tentatively yes! Would like a top-floor room. Can pay for the room myself...or willing to consider a r00mie; soft hands, a bonus!
  8. You can order custom plates from your DMV...I have Timmaah!
  9. A couple things I've incorporated into my gardening routine over the years: Fascinating article on the cooperation of mycorrhizal fungi, bacteria, plants, & insects. The importance & complexity of these networks is quite astounding: Plants have genes that are responsible for creating welcoming environments in their roots for mycorrhizal fungi - a home. The fungi network extends throughout the forest, field floor, in the soil. It not only brings nutrients to the plants, it enables plants connected to the system to warn each other of nearby attacks, allowing them to prepare a defense for the attack to come, whether from insect, bacteria, or virus...even mechanical attack by a mower, etc. It's been documented that the plants under attack release chemical signals that are then transported along the fungi's mycorrhizal network/mycelium, warning all plants connected to the network, allowing them to build their defenses before the attack arrives. What is more: Predators of plant pests, such as aphid Parasitoid Wasps pick-up on these fungi-transported plant warning signals & follow the scent trail to the scene of the crime to garner a tasty meal of aphids. Beneficial bacteria also participate in this symbiotic relationship, further benefitting those participating in the community. These networks stretch throughout areas that may well cover entire continents. Truly fascinating & useful for gardeners, both indoors & out. If you're planting a garden, you can purchase these beneficial mycorrhizae on Amazon or elsewhere & apply them to your plant's &/or garden's roots, soil to initiate & benefit from this nutrient & defense network. You can inoculate the soil around your plant, or apply it to the root ball when potting-up your plant...or both, if you want to be extra sure. It's only needed once in a growing season, & remains in your soil afterwards. Food, protection & communication of early warning systems. Increased health & yields. W00t! This is the one I use, regardless of other treatments or programs: https://www.amazon.com/Xtreme-Gardening-RT4402-Mykos-2-2-Pound/dp/B003STB5N6/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2MD88IQA19RFB&keywords=mykos&qid=1650254519&sprefix=mykos%2Caps%2C226&sr=8-2 Citation: I came across this article some 9+ years ago, & it is still as relevant now as it was then. There's much more out there to incorporate into your gardening!: https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fschaechter.asmblog.org%2Fschaechter%2F2013%2F08%2Fmycorrhizal-fungi-the-worlds-biggest-drinking-straws-and-largest-unseen-communication-system.html%3Ffbclid%3DIwAR2vCrSllh0ZvOlq11XwjbmYL0AA4tqy8lA_djqdjjYaxsGOAnvnU_doHkQ&h=AT0_CopBHk-1GjchY1adqP9GJlfB2vFLU1m-bjTKRVyExwhJu3HZOCHx-KlFF5U14Nbxz7jm6qtOqgB3O4jyxZz8qiWM0Md-uPZIhMjpqn6mWoTMfn0Vb4vJicYR4xIWEG147eO4nOtpkEusxw&__tn__=H-R&c[0]=AT0adGV8Wa5Gj6HTLdD0TgW-aWSXGVK4DeQ6-owLWNEU_y-nkBwhtr-vTfDPua8rkvUyhel5y2hrZBq3MBI12cxpWoNLS0CzgW1RYD9wX0ph1M7modvJqIBGvub622HV_FnrFZzDGWt1RgXISFgpSbv8Oy4
  10. Stevie Ray Vaughan performing his signature song- fittingly: 'Texas Flood'- at fellow Texan George H.W. Bush's Presidential Inaugural Ball. This surely was the pinnacle of his career to this point, with his brother Jimmie Vaughan, founder of THE FABULOUS THUNDERBIRDS, performing alongside him; with the Iceman: Albert Collins introducing SRV & also performing for the crowd. Always liked SRV's humility & selfless consideration of the greats who came before him; all of them with whom he performed. Clapton was on tour with SRV the day he died & related in an interview that after watching SRV perform a couple songs, he had to leave the venue because it was destroying his confidence to follow with his set. Anyways, you can see his excitement through the particular intensity with which he attacks the guitar & performs this song. And we have the always-fun: No Life Shaq reacting. Disclaimer: He throws the 'N W0rd' more than a couple times, in his excitement. https://youtu.be/MgZvl2NHFyM

  13. Inspecting his 'Maginot Line', so to speak.
  14. Actually, those bananas are only 80% ready; the skins must be black. One of the reasons I have that worm farm, though. Honeycrisps have them worms wringing their hands in delight. Those Granny Smiths will be made into a pie in the next couple days, though. Will buy a couple more Honey Crisps to balance the tart.
  15. Not on our best day could we even begin to approach the glorious Visage that surely is R0B.
  16. Great to see a happy ending. If worse comes to worst, I know a few Mole People.
  17. TNG + DS9 my favorites. DS9 being necessarily darker because they're in one spot adjacent to that High-traffic wormhole & can't warp their way out of trouble; so it's stand your ground & fight...with weapons including subterfuge. I agree they're stretching it out, like a family on food stamps...spread too thinly with the apparent budget constraints? That & Picard's considerably older & somehow that translates to a device conflating his age with inexplicably story lines.
  18. No. Like Bush Sr. used to say:
  19. How's the clip of the blonde chick singing exposit 'woke garbage. Pardon my ignorance. No 'Picard' spoilers, plz...binge watching to catch up.
  20. It's his total immersion in his chosen pursuit. Mastery of it's fundamental components. Imagination & Creativity. Confidence to execute. LIke a Larry Bird or a Stevie Ray Vaughan. Don't know if he dedicated most every waking moment like the other two, but he can't be far off. And passion, firstly. All three. Anybody passionate about a subject is interesting. To me, anyway.
  21. Thx...haven't seen 190 for about 25 years. The STRUGGLE IS REAL!!!
  22. Sounds like dogging gone wrong?
  23. Is this something Jews do, too (yay for alliteration)? It's a way to get the peristalsis going in the mornings & evenings so you can p00p more readily. Learned it in A&P or one of the biology classes shortly after I matriculated.
  24. I found Rob!
