  1. I know. =D. Seriously, those scents will help lift your mood & carry you through your day. People looking at you like 'what is that?' is also amusing. This one chick told me she can always tell when I've been through. You get the moniker of the guy who always smells good. =D
  2. Remove the superfluous, & savor the agrestic immersion; contemplating & performing the tasks at hand, then the fruits of one's labours. His followers send him simple, utilitarian gifts which he records opening. It's humbling, the genuine gratitude for that which we mostly take for granted. His love for his children is heartening.
  3. He was born just 30 miles north of me, in Louisville. His museum is there.
  4. What the hell does that even mean? You have to wear Creed Aventus; I can tell you the ladies like it when I wear it. If you can't look good, you might as well smell good. Parfums De Marly Herod & Layton, Hermes Ambre Narguile, YSL La Nuit De L'homme are all good choices, too.
  5. 2. That's two in the pink, & one in the stink!
  6. I like the quietude & connection to the land for sustenance. Learned to appreciate this on my father's family farm.
  7. This is a fun family outing for this family:
  8. Had to modify how I process them since I've moved to an apartment. Once the hull is removed, I dump them in the bathtub to remove the bulk detritus; then fill a bucket 1/2-way with nut, top with water & agitate them with a paint mixer attachment fitted to my electric drill. I dump the water & repeat about 5 times until the water runs mostly clear. Then I set them in front of this box fan to dry for a couple days before curing them for a few fortnights in mesh bags; if stored in a cool, dry place they're good for at least a year or two. Can grab some & crack them whenever. If I've got extra time, I shell some & then vacuum seal & freeze them.
  9. No, they taste better to me straight outta the shell. I dry them for 2-3 days, then set them in net sacks to cure for a month. When you shake the nut & can hear them rattle inside, they're ready; this concentrates & develops the flavor while also making them much easier to extricate from the shell. You can eat them right after you pick them, but they're a pain in the ass to get out of the shell & don't taste as good. They taste amazing in ice cream, too.
  10. They must be pretty rough, because they're forbidden, derp.
  11. Flash back to looking over your shoulder for wolves while mining ore or picking mushrooms in Rust. Yeah, they are messy; my right hand looks like I've decided to quit using toilet paper, even though I wore gloves.
  12. It's black walnut season!
  13. of a SRV performance, in 3 seconds: https://youtu.be/820u5aQ-HRg?t=371
  14. Here he is 3 years earlier at the ripe age of 5!
  15. I'm fifty, & have a great memory.
  16. The ridiculous part is the fact that Columbus never set foot in America, much less discovered it. That would have been Leif Erikson, about 500 years earlier, around the year 1,000; if we're going by notable first European/Westerner. Recently discovered footprints push back first continental settlement from ~16,000 years ago to ~23,000 years in the past*. And being we're all human, it's really a moot point. Genetic anthropology & genealogy trace it all back to Africa. *reference: https://www.nps.gov/whsa/learn/nature/fossilized-footprints.htm
  17. This also came to mind, but would be possibly misconstrued as unnecessarily rude: https://youtu.be/LOetkFopHK0?t=202

  19. Thoughts for your father, brother.
  20. With great diction, no less.
  21. What it sounds like is some extreme munchies after smoking massive amounts of weed; one gets so hungry they just start grabbin' shit as they see it & throwing it together... then afterwards regretting it. Gotta plan ahead, br0 to avert such misadventure. Reminds me of the fried bologna & chocolate pudding nite.
  22. Can't believe you really did that; come on, dude. I mean, I know we're all 'Idiots' & everything...
  23. Lol, because that's a rarity in that server.
  24. When a company makes money by manipulating data, it's the last place to look for unbiased information. Can't believe the prevalence of people looking to an echo chamber for facts.
  25. Pics or it didn't happen!
