  1. Earth tones & neutrals is what I prefer; any gangs with those tones would probably pretty mellow.
  2. What I have is a sinus infection and acute bronchitis with the early stages of double pneumonia; after 6 weeks, I was back to about 80% health bar. Took a total of 3 months to be back to 100%. The phlegm isn't as thickly pernicious & abundant, being bacterial, instead of viral.
  3. Yeah, I had to laugh, because even just after I noticed the inner pane was intact, I still looked to see if my TV was ok. Duh.
  4. Ok, disregard...my apologies. I meant to say: Thanks for asking, not that I know of.
  5. Fury beaver... sounds dangerous
  6. We can still meet-up, & I can still punch you in your big stupid head, if that's what you're itching for.
  7. Guys doing maintenance on the exterior of the building from a cherry picker noticed the bullet fragment - which was the back-half of the bullet - laying between the two panes. When the building manager showed it to me, I saw immediately it was a hunting caliber size. It had material like that of the exterior of our building embedded in the front end of its remnants, leading me to believe it might have struck the building before hitting the window. Nobody would've been targeting me specifically, as there's no way to know whose apartment is where from the nondescript exterior. Lining up the largest hole in the screen with the hole in the window produces an oblique angle that also included the smudge or whatever on the inner, intact pane. This had to have happened in the past couple days & had me thinking to a loudish sound I heard hitting the window a couple evenings ago, which I attributed to a bird strike; although I can't be sure that was when it happened. It's an interesting mystery of sorts. The building manager messaged the photographs to the police that live in our building for their opinion, & in all probability will file a report to facilitate insurance coverage, among other things.
  8. Thanks. I live several stories up; magnetic locks on building doors with cameras all throughout & on the perimeter... even a few police live in the building. Nice area, nice people. Wouldn't live in a crime-ridden area.
  9. The back end of the bullet that the building manager showed me seems to be from a hunting rifle caliber round. I'm thinking someone in the woods a mile or so away was being very stupid. You can actually see the hole it left in the screen, along with a smudge on the 2nd pane. People doing repair & maintenance work from a cherry picker actually noticed it.
  10. Interesting, in that it only penetrated the outer pane; must've been at the end of its trajectory. Wonder if it was a ricochet. My 65" tv sits in front of this window; so after ascertaining that it only penetrated the outer pane, I immediately checked to see if it damaged my tv. Derp.
  11. Yeah, prices are ridiculous here, too. It's just that this store only charges you 10% more than what they pay; and they have a butches that cuts the meat there from the primal cuts.
  12. So hungry, you gonna cook your camera.
  13. It's interesting to watch these humble villagers' reactions, excursions, & development over the episodes.
  14. When I caught it in Feb. of 2020, I went to bed with that prodrome feeling, knowing you're getting sick & tomorrow for the next week or two won't be fun. Fell asleep with a low-grade fever & woke up with muscle aches all over, chest feeling thick & wheezy. Shit fucked me up worse than any flu I've had as far as the double pneumonia that took 3 weeks of coughing to clear with another 4 or 5 weeks to convalesce & feel somewhat normal again. Shit's no joke & got the vaccine as soon as it was available. From 1st-hand experience, I'd rather take the chance on the vaccine than catch that shit again. I can see older & out of shape people dying from this; it hits hard, fast & deep.. & if you don't have the reserves, it's curtains. With over 6 BILLION doses given, it's a much safer bet than that Rona.
  15. Lol, only did it because I was already there shopping; still wasn't a good idea. Ended up getting it repaired at the shop where I normally get the oil change.
  16. That happens to a mild extent with a few plants spewing their sperm; I am familiar with the timeframe for the culprits. This was acute bronchitis that was spreading into the lungs, at the beginning stages of double pneumonia.
  17. Gonna make some Cheese Steak sammiches with some of these. BBQ for others.
  18. Me: Got any of those Angus steaks Butcher: Yes, how many would you like? Me: Yes Woulda bought more, but that's all they had for the next few days. =D @TheDrimpXI I remember talking about prices last week:
  19. Said I thought I caught covid, which I did, at the time, believe sooo...

  21. Sinuses finally starting to drain: https://imgur.com/a/9AeoqKD
  22. One of my first vehicles was a '64 Pontiac Catalina. The engine oil was thick & gunky. I flushed the engine with automatic transmission fluid, then took the top of the engine down to the cylinder head gasket; soaking all the components (pushrods, rocker arms, etc.) with solvent & cleaning them nice & shiny. Reassembled according to my trusty Hanes or Chilton; torqued to spec, yada yada. Drove it to the gas station to proudly fill up with gas & go for a fun day of cruising the country back roads. As I arrived at the pump, the oil dumped & an impressive cloud of smoke issued forth, flowing along the ceiling of the pump canopy, curling up & along its edges; taking my day's aspirations with it. Unbeknownst to me, the previous owner had used 5W20 because the oil pan gasket & other seals were shot. Learned several lessons that day. =D
  23. Thank you to all for yesterday's kind thoughts.
  24. The oil pressure light did not come on, so more likely is that there isn't any damage. When drained, there was remarkably still 2 quarts in it. That's after driving it all day.
