Had to modify how I process them since I've moved to an apartment. Once the hull is removed, I dump them in the bathtub to remove the bulk detritus; then fill a bucket 1/2-way with nut, top with water & agitate them with a paint mixer attachment fitted to my electric drill. I dump the water & repeat about 5 times until the water runs mostly clear. Then I set them in front of this box fan to dry for a couple days before curing them for a few fortnights in mesh bags; if stored in a cool, dry place they're good for at least a year or two. Can grab some & crack them whenever. If I've got extra time, I shell some & then vacuum seal & freeze them.

No, they taste better to me straight outta the shell. I dry them for 2-3 days, then set them in net sacks to cure for a month. When you shake the nut & can hear them rattle inside, they're ready; this concentrates & develops the flavor while also making them much easier to extricate from the shell. You can eat them right after you pick them, but they're a pain in the ass to get out of the shell & don't taste as good. They taste amazing in ice cream, too.

I know what it's like to fuck-up frequently when playing, as I like to just jump around the map, hoping my reflexes & the element of surprise will get me by. More often however, I find myself dying in the most ridiculous ways because of my Idiocy & get to hear people relish in celebration of having shot me; eavesdrop is hilarious that way. Someone can kill me 3 or 4 times in a row; then when I finally get back to where they are & shoot them, it's somehow beyond unfair how I managed to freeze them after being shot or blown up 3 times previous. Idiots everywhere. There's a small map in rotation this week, or maybe it was last; have played it for a couple years, & found out for the first time that there is a small bookshelf that you can slide to the side to get to a hidden room. Learn something new, even after years of playing.
