CPU's Intel strikes back with Alder Lake to Ryzen
Timmah! replied to KaptCrunch's topic in Computer Help
And they stick with what works & are streamlining it with a die shrink; meanwhile Intel is fucking around with mixed cores & the problems of firmware & software to efficiently run it. Amd is also coming out with new technology that will allow the cpu to share the gpu's ram, making calculations even faster... & then there's the triple-stack cache to speed it even further. And there's more to come on top of all that. Plus the much cooler tdp you mention. They're gonna be crushing Intel come this time next year. -
Went down the rabbit hole; ~year later, & I have a strong representation of the fragrance families & know what's good. All are extrait concentration. Got a few back-up bottles of the ones I really like. Mainly Orientals & Amber-woody frags.

Does this mean they'll eat me?

Amd's triple-stack cache, among other things, is gonna make it interesting in '22. -
It was a low-budget movie; the well-qualified gun handler declined the job because they wouldn't provide for a second assistant. The guy who they did hire had a history of negligent, dangerous behaviour. Alec Baldwin was demonstrating how he was going to draw the gun for the scene & it accidentally discharged. From what I hear, it had a live round in it or something else dangerous loaded when it shouldn't have. Although the handler is responsible for the safe use of a prop gun, I would consider Baldwin partially responsible, because it's, in my opinion, a person's responsibility to personally check a firearm before handling it.

Interesting video of the making of Dino Fun Nuggets:

That's what she said. =P

These are Tyson brand Fun Nuggets; was researching which was the best-tasting chicken nuggets, & this 'kids' nugget rated among the highest of nuggets. They taste pretty darn good & are reasonably priced. https://www.tyson.com/products/breaded-chicken-nuggets-fun-dino/

PepperJack Cheese. So Monterey Jack with Jalapeno bits throughout. Yes, I had smoked something previously to this incident.

This is to what I was referring vis a vis Brandon Lee. A round with the charge removed was fired from a prop gun, with the primer propelling the bullet partly up the barrel. It was not cleared before blanks were then loaded; the powder charge from the blank propelled the squib into Mr. Lee at pretty much the same force as a regular round, killing him. People though he was pranking when he fell. https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1993-08-11-ca-22553-story.html

This is truly entertaining:

There are prop gun handling experts; usually LEO or retired LEO that is primarily if not solely responsible for ensuring the prop gun is safely given to the actor during the scene & who supervises its use. Unless Baldwin went outside the parameters of given instruction, the only other possibility is the handler didn't do their job properly. Will be interesting to see which it is. Surely it's not another squib subsequently launched by a blank's charge. It is a terrible knowledge with which to live. Must have been some shrapnel from what I assume was 1 round fired.. Shouldn't anybody be in the line of fire, even if it's the photographer; just step to the side while the shot of the shot is aimed at the camera, if that's a facet of the situation. I'm disturbed imagining the weight of killing another person, even by accident.

Irony intended?

First thing I learned when I was 7: 'A gun is always loaded.' Don't care what you call it, don't point one at anybody...unless...
-
...guess he didn't learn from Brandon Lee's situation.

Series parallel batteries
Timmah! replied to TheLastColdBeer's topic in Hunting, Shooting, Fishing, Boating
Yeah, that title gave me pause; I've used series or parallel, but never both in one setup. -
More like The Walking Derp.

When a video game forum is chosen as an irrelevant place to hoist oneself on their own petard & demand freedom of speech, as if it were a governmental entity of some sort. There are plenty of echo chamber websites where people jerk each other off with their political views; this isn't one of them.

Great story of how a child of immigrants can capture their dreams with hard work & dedication to their pursuit(s). RIP.
