You know what? As rich as this is, especially with the freshly-grated Asiago... it would actually make a good topping for a baked potato.

Letting the onions have their time to slowly cook over 45 minutes is what takes the most time & patience to not let them burn. Forgot that I was out of caramelized onions. So I got another bag of onions, cooked them down & then froze them in an ice cube tray, putting the onion cubes in a zip-loc bag & into the freezer for whenever I want them for a recipe.

It actually tastes better than it looks. Almost a little too rich; might have to cut the leftovers with some milk to thin it out.

Fettuccine Alfredo... ...then a couple onions.. . . . LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Caramelized onions.. . . . . 30 minutes later, add a skosh of sugar to enhance the caramelization . These 2 onions have cooked down considerably & will add much yum to the meal: . . . . Deglaze with some white cooking wine to get all the good stuff into a reduction sauce... . . . . What else good? Black Forest Ham! Let's get a slab of that! . . . . . . Get that iron nice & hot for that Maillard action... . . . . . . Freshy grated Asiago & ground black peppercorns make such a difference . . . . . . . . Ham is done browning & the alfredo sauce has made nice with the caramelized onions... . Almost time to eat, just one more thing... . . . . . Once you've used freshly-grated, nothing else will do.. . . . . . Unbelievably good! . . . Well worth the time & effort.

If you're in a building, you want to shelter on the NE side of the structure, as the tornado is coming from the SW in almost all instances. Of course, if it's what looks to be an EF4 - EF5, it might not make much difference if you're above-ground. Almost 50 years ago, another massive tornado completely devastated another town not too far from here: Brandenburg, KY. I remember talking to a guy who survived it, while we were on a job site in Brandenburg in the early 1990's. This tornado system's path was similar- almost parallel- to this now known as the 'quad state tornado'.

People died & you reply with conspiracy bullshit. Fuck off with your stupidity, you absolute moron of morons.

...gets me outta bed to find shelter at 2 a.m. If it continuously stayed on the ground, it will break the record for the longest track in U.S. history. It also possibly set a record for strongest gate-to-gate wind readings recorded. It also set the record as the first tornado to travel across 4 states during its time on the ground. Prayers for the people of Mayfield & everywhere else impacted by this monster. https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2021/12/10/arkansas-nursing-home-tornado/ It ripped through a nursing home & an Amazon facility before devastating Mayfield, Ky & striking a candle factory. Still had a huge radar signature as it bore down on my location, passing overhead. Video footage of the monster wedge:

Can make one for $40. Buy the filter to suit your needs. Higher-Merv filters, you should get one thicker, like 4 inches, to reduce stress on fan. (thicker filter, less resistance) A basic Merv 10 like this one filters out dust, pollen, mold spores, etc. I can really tell the difference. (The cat was being a distraction; so I gave him one, too. A piece of tape between the shoulder blades gave me the 5 minutes I needed). He wasn't very happy about it. By the way, this has been tested & found to be effective. After all, an air cleaner is basically these two components; just make sure it's sealed.

We know you're an Idiot.

Still gonna wait 5 months for inflation to come down. Energy prices are forecast to continue dropping pushing down the price of all goods' manufacturing & transportation, along with the supply infrastructure coming back online. The final piece being AMD releasing new architecture on their main boards, cpus, & gpus.

We do; ergo, this is clearly NOT a food post & belongs in the 'storytelling' forums, if there is one!

Yes, I had already settled on toasted coconut & pecan. Omitted that part to see what people would suggest, & to give the opportunity to imagine it the way they like. Gonna try that recipe next time; thanks.

Having held me in good stead all these years, the Boy Scout motto has motivated me to buy this, among other things over time. Better to have it & not need it than the converse. So, you can say today's episode is sponsored by the letter 'P' & the number '100'. Unopened, the filters are good for ~4 years. Once opened, the particulate filtration actually becomes more efficient over time, with accumulating filtrates adding to the effectiveness of the filters. For ~$40 - $50, it's a GREAT investment. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009POHLRC?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008MCUULW?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details
