  5. Did you know that ~100,000 people in the U.S. die every year from infections they catch in health care settings (nosocomial)? Just thought I'd throw that out there.

  7. Why? ARe y ou behind meh?
  8. Queue Jimi Hendrix' All Along The Watchtower guitar outro.
  9. ...depression, skin conditions, Ulcerative Colitis, Chron's Disease, immune system boost, digestion & nutrient absorption, cholesterol levels, bowel health, yeast infections. Your gut bacteria affect your digestion, nervous system & brain, your digestion & absorption of nutrients, modulation of brain chemicals, your immune system. You have more microorganisms living in your gut than you do cells in your body. These microorganisms affect just about every system in your body, starting at the cellular & tissue levels; some even create vitamins. That bacteria in your gut can affect your brain function is, by itself, a big deal. That it can help regulate cholesterol levels & help prevent heart attacks is also not a small thing. That bacteria in your gut can alleviate anxiety disorders is another major consideration. A lot of promising research & results in many interesting fields. So maybe do yourself a favor & eat some yogurt, take a probiotic. Prebiotic foods like garlic, onion, fermented foods like pickles, sauerkraut are great to feed the probiotic organisms. A simple google search will produce thousands of articles. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5031164/ https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/articles/14598-probiotics
  10. I caught this shit back in February & don't wish a repeat. Working Grubhub, D00rdash, Postmates ~80 hrs/wk, I'm amongst thousands of people a week & maintain distance & no-contact as much as possible. I also use enough hand sanitizer, Lubriderm, & sanitizing wipes to consider investing in their stock. I also avoid touching my face unless I've washed my hands for at least 30 seconds. Ironically, family gatherings are one of the main sources of spread around here; people gathering with those about whom they care & are comfortable, exposing them to the virus when all they wish is to create some happy memories, then end up offing Nana & Papaw.
  11. To be clear, I'm not going to be running out to take a shot, just would really like a person's synoptic take on a subject... maybe a few bullet points. That, & I'm tired of the whole brouhaha. Threatening to turn-in tags for a video game clan seems kinda silly, too. Plus, 15 hrs of driving in Kentucky traffic leaves me wanting to flick someone's nose anyway. =D
  12. Nah, I just wanna know, before he becomes the world-saving promulgator of vaccines & their danger, if he can do more than copy & paste shit from some site of which I've never before even heard. Can he have a cogent discussion on the role(s) of the immune system. Does he know 70% resides in the Cecum & affects immuno & neurological functions in manifold ways? Does he know even the basics of the Leukocytes, like Eosinophils, Macrophages, B & T cells, their interrelationship, their discrete functions, among other things. Wouldn't call someone out on ignorance, until they mount a soapbox & start proclaiming the sky's falling. Cytokine storms, the roles of relative levels of androgens in the development & severity of diseases. Adipose tissue & related resultant markers, their roles in different pathogens. Would he even know what interstitial fluid is? Has he even taken a first-year Anatomy & Physiology course so that he can make a roughly-educated deduction about the veracity of self-proclaimed experts. Does he have a passing acquaintance with the most basic functions of cells; The Citric Acid Cycle for starters. The basics of the body's different systems & how they interrelatedly affect homeostasis? Well, that's a lot of shit Tim. Yeah, so is even the most basic understanding of the immune system, the body & how so many things affect a person's path through the environment; both long & short term. Take even a few semesters of Biology, Anatomy, Physiology & what you'll realize is how vastly much you don't know. Alternatively, one could read a few articles here & there & be good to go.
  13. My initial reaction was that this was Hammer on PCP & posting under an alt. account. Was looking for a contrail reference; alas, no.
  14. Definitely! Love to make extra portions of meats & have them at the ready for meals. Chicken thighs, beef cuts, pork. Pizzas too. Sauces, broths, stocks in ice cube form, too; as long as it doesn't contain milk; sadly they separate when thawed & heated.
  15. Holy run-on sentences batman!! Br0, get some help, you seriously have issues. Seriously. (& freedom of speech applies to non-interference from the government, not any private entity)
  16. They look great! Would have been nice to see a transverse sectional view of a piece; video would have been even more fun. Well, let's have some specificity, Mr.: What temp(s) did you use? How long did you cook 'em? Did you use the 3-2-1 method (smoke, wrap & bake, unwrap, sauce & bake/broil). And, coincidentally, I wrapped some ribs & threw them in the oven @ 250F @ 1:30 this morning, before retiring for the day. Got up @ 6, drained the grease & threw them back in @ 275 until now, 9:45. So, roughly 8 hours. Gonna unwrap them & do a few 8-minute saucing sessions under the broiler with them with a mix of bbq & honey. Might even make some gravy with some of the drippings, then freeze it in ice cube trays & store it in a quart freezer bag for later usage.
  17. Like many hobbies, passions; if I were beholden to do it with a certain frequency, to a given consistent capacity, in a certain way, it would lose a great measure of its pleasure for me. Besides, restaurants have a notoriously thin profit margin & low success rate. There are some really nice restrooms. You begin to notice the correlation between restroom cleanliness & quality with restaurant staff behavior & food quality. There's a whole spectrum from hole-in-the-wall joints to high-end restaurants (mainly in Louisville)
  18. Lol, except I bring home ~$1,200/week... after taxes.
  19. Here's the recipe: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/20144/banana-banana-bread/ A critical piece of baking equipment about which I'm perpetually surprised people not having is an oven therm0meter! People go through the effort of properly assembling ingredients, then do it in the wrong order or don't even bake @ the correct temperature. Often off by 50 degrees one way or the other, or more...then become dejected that their shit came out like, well, shit. Get a fucking $10 thermometer, people.
