Well, no. I package it by wrapping it in 2 layers of plastic wrap, then aluminum foil to help prevent breakage. I then place that in a ziplock bag. Finally, I pop cheap popcorn for packaging 'peanuts' to cushion the jostling during the trip.

Yeah, those things are fucking crack. Cat thinks he hasn't had enough to his liking, he will come & start by tapping on my arm & begging... try leading me to the kitchen, looking over his shoulder; if that doesn't work & I haven't had to discipline him for a while, he'll start getting pushy, more adamant... do shit like start scratching the shit outta the back of my office chair while I'm sitting in it. Looks like someone took a load or two of 20 gauge birdshot to it:

try a pack of softened cream cheese with an egg mixed in... and any seasonings you might like instead of ricotta. Also, that Monterey Jack I threw on the top layer was nice. ...and freshly-grated Parmesan is orders of magnitude superior to the pre-grated garbage in a can. Well worth the added couple-few dollars' expense.

I cut it into 1lb. blocks & freeze it. Lasagna freezes well & keeps in the freezer for about 3 months; it doesn't last that long. I gave about 5 portions to friends. If you lived closer, I'd give you some.

...and what's great is it averages to something like $2/ very generous, fillingly-satisfying serving.

...pan that I bought was substantially larger than the previous; so much so that the poor lasgna made according to original proportions looked disquietingly piteous. (It nonetheless tasted great) Can't have that. Had to double up... plus some extra for the next rip. So: 2 lbs. sausage, ~2.5 lbs. hamburger, 2 cups short of a gallon of proprietary sauce, 2 lbs. of cream cheese instead of that nasty ricotta, seasoned to my sensibilities. Some cloves of garlic, basil, oregano, Italian seasoning, etc. Total weight was 13 lbs. & some ounces. Think I've found a new top-5 iteration. So damn good. Don't be hatin'. ***Edit*** Oh yeah, there was also a layer of swiss slices, too...and some Monterey Jack... also ~8 ounces of freshly-grated Parmesan. It demands your attention to enjoy it.

I feel you. It's tough watching one's parents grow old, weak, & pass away.

Non-sequitur? I can find myriad more important allocations for my limited minutes on this mortal coil. I caught it 10 months ago; watching the politicians use the subject as yet another political tool is yet another tedious banality & I'm far from interested in convincing anyone to have a particular view on any of various facets of the whole dumpster fire. No...just have better use for my time...(it's in limited supply.) As Floyd would say: '...shorter of breath, & one day closer to death!'

To be clear, I'm not rushing to be injected with any new technology; my main complaint - if you can call it that - is the feverish sky-is-falling spin that is seemingly ubiquitous as the days progress. It's why I've avoided the news by & large & taken to listening to music or podcasts.

NIce. I just happened to notice the halo as I was out making deliveries & decided to pull over & catch it with my simple phone camera. Happens here a handful of times a year. Were there pillars visible during this event you captured?

Funny thing is the number of people that think the 1st Amendment applies everywhere, all the time; when in obvious fact it only applies in relation to the government.

Dropped out of high school. Few years later, decided to matriculate & took the requisite tests; the GED being one. Now this, I did copy & paste, after adding my own 'flare'.
