You can see herds of deer strolling through neighborhood streets & front & back yards on Ft. Knox in the evening hours, especially from the beginning of deer season. They know they're safe & will not run unless you exit your vehicle or begin walking towards them. Even then, they'll only scamper off ~30-40 yards & stop to see what you next do.

Yeah, gotta stop the caffeine intake earlier in my work day so I can be asleep by this time, instead of still strokin' on all cylinders. Was 23:35 my time, tho; not 02:35.

What really added flavor was sauteing the mushrooms with some Lea & Perrins, Soy Sauce & minced garlic, then deglazing the pan with some white cooking wine. The reduction sauce was amazing.

...anything is a great call. Tablespoon of bacon fat instead of butter adds a wonderfully tasty dimension.

One cool thing is the views from the channel have financed one dude getting false teeth & being able to actually bite into & chew foods instead of having to tear them apart & then suck & gum it. The joy in his expression & demeanor is nice to see. Mid forties is considered old by their standards as they don't have such great health care or nutrition in backcountry Pakistan.

Watched one several months ago for the novelty & because it was in my Youtube recommended. They are genuinely entertaining & fun to see them open up after becoming comfortable in front of the camera. You can tell by looking at their hand that they are hard working folk. Their reactions to eating things which they never imagined existed is pure entertainment.

Wakka, Wakka. By the way, when I was a kid at the video arcades in the early '80s, I bought a paperback book on how to play all the levels of Pacman. I memorized the patterns & could play that game until it tilted & reset. The proprietors of some places would occasionally grumble, which would in some cases upon my reply of 'I'm not as good at other games' prompt them to offer me tokens to play other games, so as to leave their Pacman game alone. Oh yea, Welcome.

Yes, Sixgun, that's what I have on top of the panel. It's the 3-segment panel for ~$8 that is a great post-cooking timesaver on cleanup. Splatter screens don't catch all the grease poppin' from a pan; especially if bacon is being fried.

I didn't make it, I bought it off amazon for about 8 bucks; then set the splatter screen across the top... probably just put a length of aluminum foil across the top next time. As a side note, aluminum used to be more expensive than gold, as it was more 'rare' before modern extraction processes. (Napoleon even had a set of utensils and the like, from what I remember.)

Depends on what mast they're consuming. Every chew on part of a raw acorn; they have that faint tannic taste if they're eating acorns. Hickory, mildly nutty without the tannic note; black walnut, a richer depth to the nuttiness. Kinda like rabbit, if you've ever had it. Usually make a stew more so than baking them these days.

Still waiting on the amazing lasagna, shithead. Either the food I'm making is really good, or your life is so devoid of purposeful occupation, that you take the time to troll a lasagna, then a potato. Poor bastard.
