Watched the video. Hope your friend is successful. Having been around since the beginning of rap ~40 years ago witnessing the likes of Sugar Hill Gang with Rapper's Delight, Grandmaster Flash with The Message, RunDMC, Kurtis Blow, NWA, Dr. Dre, etc., it was enjoyable to see the innovation. The genre has long ago become stale, banal, tedious with played out repetitive base beats & monotonous self-aggrandizing lyrics to the other end of the spectrum with repetitive cymbals & high hats with mumbling self-aggrandizing lyrics. Formulaic & tired. I miss the days of Outkast, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, where people created some worthwhile instrumentals & intriguing lyrics. Now it's all: I'm tough, I'm rich, smackahoe, look at my rented jewelry. Commercialized, formulaic blather. Eric Sermon, Redman, so many others. I don't even consider this Technine, Cardi B, MGK riff raff rap.
