In the meantime be sure to click 'none' or 'steadycam' as the attachment to double check. edit: Yea its a menu problem somewhere with an invalid attachment not being reset. In the loadout menu if you see the .50 with a silencer attachment that is wrong since there is no such weapon. Change the attachment to none or steadycam.

If Linux was actually coordinated in a big way then it would be a significant challenge. But as always that takes money. Lots of money. Especially since you cannot sell it.

I guess the funniest part... or saddest... is how some are unconcerned about privacy and hacking problems so long as its cool to use. Facebook generation I guess. Which is fine. But I dont do Facebook nor want my OS to follow its example.

Pussy perks? Uh huh. I am certain those that use them are quite happy that they cramp your style and aggravate you. I will say again, hardcore is totally overrated and 30 health is too low. But since that is remaining the armor option is there for those that want it. The .50 does 70 damage at all ranges to start with. Hit location modifiers will increase it for the upper torso and the head. Unlike how some think, I dont like taking things away from people like reducing claymores from 2 to 1. Nor simply disabling juggy. But I do like offering protection options like the countermeasures mine for RC defense. Oh... and if this makes you mad dont complain and get the armor piercing perk. I made that up so you have the option if you want it also. Personally I find it very useful to use with snipers.

Exactly. The M16 is a great weapon but not for everyone and all situations. In other words... it doesnt mean all those other guns you mentioned are outclassed.

As in all things, you pick the weapon that best fits your play style. You arent likely to run and gun with an M16. If you like to spray then you pick one with a high mag capacity, more ammo, better hip fire and faster reload times. The 308 has smaller mags and less ammo. Both starting and max. Of course if you are constantly dying the last part doesnt matter.

Considering how people feel about privacy, and that there are so many places that tell you how to delve into Windows and shut this all off, who came up with this bright idea? Certainly the bright idea of making the default opt-in? The 'user experience' arguments are nice and all. But how many people would actually sacrifice email privacy in order to get it? I wouldnt. One of the reasons I am highly suspicious of this whole thing is that it conveniently bypasses the whole encryption problem the various authorities have to deal with. Since keystrokes are all uploaded to MS and stored they have copies of everything before any encryption is done. So even the strongest encryption in the world is pointless unless it was done elsewhere before a single key was pressed.

It will outshine depending on what you use it for. The negatives can really hurt you in some circumstances. Such as if you are in a close quarters battle with a P90. You will run out of mag ammo much quicker than your enemy will. And it will take you longer to reload when you do. Same if you run out and need to switch quickly to a pistol or other secondary weapon. It is very good for marksmen but outclassed when it comes to going house to house or if you need to run around. Its raise time from sprint is slower. Keep in mind that this is a HC server. Meaning it is a huge crutch people rely on. Bump up health from 30 to 60 and watch the people bitch and whine saying its too hard because they cant kill with one shot to the foot.

Of course. If body armor cant protect you then whats the point in having it? Just as fair as you sneaking up on someone and knifing them because they couldnt hear you coming with dead silence.

Uh huh. Just because you cant use certain weapons doesnt mean others cant use them well and constantly shoot you with them. And yes the 308 is very good if you aim. It sucks if you dont. In an equal close battle the P90 and MP5 beat the 308 every time. Especially if you hip fire spray. OTOH it has the longest reload/raise/drop time of any AR. Only 2/3 of the magazine capacity compared to the ak/m16/hk416. Is a tiny bit slower for melee attacks. And so on. Meaning perks like hip fire, fast hands, and scavenger are more useful than they would be with other weapons in the class. Trade offs.

Perhaps. But then again it sure seems that gas prices are tied into crude oil prices closely when they go up. Just not when they go back down. It's not about cost. It's about what the market can bear.

It's not really worth doing if you just want to make it a sticky in that forum. I say that because the PB ones are stickies but the same forum still gets questions about PB help without reading them first. Possibly in a place where you dont have to be a registered member to actually read it. I could maybe make it so the hint only shows up when you spawn. But of course that is a time when it is least likely for anyone to actually read it. Players are too busy running.

#1 - I know. Fixed in b8.1 mod. #2 - Know that also for Hardwired (no other perks) and the car. Debating what to do. #3 - Yes know that also, also. Leaving it that way for a little while longer to see what happens. But its a simple change. #4 - Tell me which ones are wrong. Hints are helpful for people that havent played the mod much because there is so much you can do. Unless someone is interested in making up a dedicated webpage describing all the weapons, perks, and streaks. Then providing a link on the home page as well as a single server hint on the bottom on where to go. I dont have the time for it.

So long as you dont move I think the game already allows that for a few seconds. If you already have the classes set up the way you like them then you can choose another one pretty quickly.

Two reasons why its high here. One is certainly because gas here requires various mixtures to reduce air pollution that other states dont bother with. Depending on the time of year. Nothing is free so we accept that gas prices will be higher. But its also because the gas companies tend to close down refineries for weeks at just the proper times so these blends will be in short supply. Thus raising prices even more. One would think the best way to offset this is to increase the stock for these times. But they dont want to do that.

Now we know why we got it free.

I never did like the default of 'opt-in'. What exactly is wrong with asking people first whether or not they want something? At this point I am almost tempted to relegate Windows to non-personal use only. Anything like email, word processing, personal data, and the like will go on a Linux box.

If you are a Combat Medic you have a large supply of medkits and can use them to help friendly players. Also to revive players in Second Chance.

Also good when you drip a long string of chocolate.

Unfortunately that can also be exploited. In the sense that if you are cornered and know you cant get out without being killed, eat your nade to respawn back at the beginning. That isnt quite fair.

Oil prices are as low as they have ever been. Gas prices, not so much.

Also streak 4 if you are good enough to get the tac nuke. Medkits also heal you from radiation.

Icequeen. Sounds like ice cream. I always enjoy good ice cream. More expensive than the others but worth it. Quality over quantity.
