  1. Myself and the beta testers did the best we could to look for problems and the ones found were fixed. But as always patches are needed after release. Thx for your patience.
  2. No I dont. Hmm. Seems both posts were about the same time. One player was in a car it sounds like. The scoreboard showed him as alive but the 'frozen' scores did not. I am wondering if both posts were related. When a game ends, including overtime, the car blows up in tdm. I suppose ftag needs an extra check. They both have different 'end of game' functions. In this case, overtime ended but the player in the car was still going? And later when the car was over, I assume he blew up and respawned? He was the only player in the game and had to go to spectate for the round to actually end? The debug info was when I was working on the red target markers when players were defrosted to make sure the 'create marker' functions were being called. Previously they were not.
  3. No thats a debug message. There are lots of them during development and I forget some. Thank you for pointing that one out and it will be removed on next update.
  4. No it just means its not possible to make everybody happy. If, say, I were to move Hacker to tier one then people who want both Hacker and Stopping Power wouldnt be happy.. Also dont want a top heavy tier 1 with 12 perks and the other two with 6 each. Anyways, since my #1 goal is the most fun, within the realm of game balance, then I will move things if they need to be. It should have lots of good options to choose from, based on what players want to try and do, but nothing that could be overpowered. Good Stealth package or good r&g package. But neither should be invincible and wanting both together should offer several compromises. Fighting enemies that have both isnt very fun. I could make it so its a pot luck and you can choose whatever you want. But then you get overpowered combinations. Ghost, I think, does Greed. Which I think offers this. But their perks are much more varied and they have the 'pro' thing. However I dont know if the Greed idea causes more problems than has benefits. As far as the game is concerned. All gets complicated, doesnt it?
  5. Ok probably just a minor thing not being done when being frozen. For game mechanics, when you are frozen you are actually spawning from death normally. Just in a bubble and locked. When defrosted, since you are already spawned, it just moves your position. One of the Open Warfare options for ftag just unfreezes you where you are and doesnt send you back to start. There were some other functions that needed to be restarted at defrost and likely this does also. Thx.
  6. Ok, the center point of the package must fall within a 72 degree cone from the forward direction of your eye. Meaning within 36 degrees in any direction. If your lookat isnt within this you cannot secure it. The purpose of this is so you dont try and secure it with your ass while shooting.
  7. Ok so you mean - you have Hardwired. An enemy CUAV is activated. You however are not affected. You die and do not change classes or perks (be sure of this). On defrost however you are affected, if that CUAV is still up. When it is over you see the map again. Sound about right?
  8. For the care package its not that you are too close. It's that you are not focusing closely enough to the center of it. I will see if the lookat requirements are a little too strict tho.

  12. Less prone but not foolproof. Unless there was a way to seal off the electrical components in case of disaster I would feel like I was taking an unacceptable risk. I guess it would be the same as the standard methods if the chance of leakage would be applied to the chance of fire.
  13. Still not comfortable with water cooling. One liquid explosion and you are fucked. But, next major system upgrade I know I will have to get past that and install one.
  14. Things can be moved. Done it so many times I cant count until I found a distribution I liked and put it into later versions. But............................... If I were to make it so you could pick any of the three perks you wanted, limited to only three, would everyone shut up about everything else? :devil: edit: Being able to have stopping power, double tap, and steady aim or deep impact might not be a good combo for balance. I am sure there are other combos as well that might not be so good.
  15. Map compatibility should be the same as the noacr mod. Maybe a bit better.
  16. The one change that seemed to get the most negative comments was where Hardwired was moved to. That will be moved to tier 2. I think its 2. It is late and I am tired so I get them mixed up. There are minor bugs being worked out. Add something new, like Venom, and some will love it while others will hate it. The ones that hate it was usually the ones that get shot with it. And yes that will be fixed so that it will not work if shot through surfaces. The bullets will work normally but the poison will not. Or will have only a small chance. The original idea was that it was some kind of nerve agent. Venom sounds cooler tho. Not everyone liked Duke either. But I think its great. Same with the mininuke. And on. Often the ones that hate it start using it effectively themselves, get kills, and like it.
  17. Slowly. If however you can heal in 1-2 seconds its not such a big deal. Reviving from SC takes a little over a second I think. iirc the medics in BF are pretty fast. Or they were in the past. In the end tho it should be useful not a hindrance. If LS and being able to heal them doesnt do much for people then I am not sure if its worth it.
  18. People originally hated the idea of the car defrosting. Now people love it. Most people anyways.
  19. In the different games with medics, cod bf etc, how long does it usually take once started? 2 seconds maybe? I dont know. But as for fast paced, if people have time to defrost they have time to heal. Technically speaking, as far as the game is concerned, defrosting is healing.

  21. Ok guys and gals here is what I am going to do. I will move hardwired to tier 2. And... In tier 3 we are going to try Last Stand with various modifications. For one you dont get your pistol until you are on the ground and vulnerable. You cannot be shot while going through the falling part but you cannot shoot back. So none of that firing while invincible bullshit. If you are shot with Venom rounds, or already dying from them, you dont go to LS. You are simply dead. You cannot heal yourself from LS, even as a medic. However other medics can heal you.
