  1. Thats been my Christmas tree for the last couple years. About time to go find it again.
  2. Dont even want to watch that one out of curiosity.
  3. Probably whatever you could get. IF you have the money for it. Get a 1tb 970. 2tb ssd's would be better but still a little pricey at this time. One for regular programs the other strictly for games. Might also want to consider a sound card. Then of course a traditional big HDD. Or better yet, get two of them since they are so cheap these days. WD Black drives have been the most reliable for me.
  4. Maya on the right, substance painter on the left. These days for a gpu, I would say nothing is different now than it was 6 months ago. At least it seems that way to me. One of the reasons for getting a new gpu, eventually, is that substance painter is a little flaky with old ones in certain texture channels. Like it does in my old one. Might try 3dcoat or armorpaint.
  5. Trying to say youtube is a credible source of information would be like trying to tell your english teacher that wiki is a legitimate source to quote from and cite in an essay.
  6. Thats just your imagination.
  7. Much better to have two monitors of the same size. My previous was an old 1080p asus that was significantly smaller. It was convenient for the added screen space for some things. But not as good as I would have liked. Desk is pretty small but its an old oak desk that is kind of a family heirloom. But a smaller space means you need to keep it all tidy and not full of stuff. The new LG is the one with Jack.
  8. Let the innuendo begin.
  9. Depends on what you are eating out. Or perhaps better to say, whom.
  10. "I have solved this political dilemma in a very direct way: I don't vote. On Election Day, I stay home. I firmly believe that if you vote, you have no right to complain. Now, some people like to twist that around. They say, 'If you don't vote, you have no right to complain,' but where's the logic in that? If you vote, and you elect dishonest, incompetent politicians, and they get into office and screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You voted them in. You caused the problem. You have no right to complain. I, on the other hand, who did not vote -- who did not even leave the house on Election Day -- am in no way responsible for what these politicians have done and have every right to complain about the mess that you created." - George Carlin The problem is, both parties constantly choose dishonest incompetent politicians as their candidates. And they end up being the only ones voters get to choose from.
  11. How much money goes to the one that can somehow prove its true? Another option, how much money goes to the one that knows its untrue? Or perhaps more to the point, will make sure its untrue?
  12. Lets see. A guy picks up a hooker in Vegas and gets an STD. But afterwards he blames the car for dragging him inside and taking him there. Also for paying for the gas and the hooker. But first, the car forced the wife to give it the money to do it all. However the car didnt leave him there. It brought him home so it could do it all again the next week. But in the meantime it also forced them into sex and she got an STD as well. It wasnt even their car to begin with. Its all the cars fault you see. This is the peoples rationale when it comes to the very government it put there. "government of the people, by the people, and for the people" - Abraham Lincoln
  13. On the other hand, you see something all over conservative media. So it must BE true.
  14. I was browsing for some Looney Tunes stuff and I came across this page. After reading through some of it I thought WTF is this??? Read like it was written by someone who was on too much LSD or something. https://mirror.uncyc.org/wiki/Looney_Tunes
  15. That video is too funny. Yes Benny Hill just gives it that extra bit of flair.
  16. After much deliberation I went with the LG. It was on sale %30 off so that is a plus.
  17. My second monitor is due for an upgrade as well so might go for that first this coming monday and continue to wait and and see what happens with gpu's. And I have my property tax bill due as well. I understand the supply problem in general with everything chip related. Some of it is understandable, some of it is nothing but greed. Likely partially nation-state related as well. Who knows what countries are part of the game (no pun intended). So its frustrating with gamers and indies alike. The nearest microcenter is in southern california. We used to have a big Fry's up here but bye bye they went. Actually its pretty stupid that they dont have one near Silicon Valley of all places but have four in NY. Not going to drive a 12 hour round trip for a video card. But kudos to you for having two near you. Speaking of monitors, which would you go for if you can get a reasonable deal considering each ones capabilities and such? Ive had good luck with asus and samsung but never had an lg or acer. More for gaming and it would compliment the one I already have for production. Also, cannot say I am up on the 'sync' thing and while I have an nvidia now, who knows what I will have in the future. https://www.amazon.com/LG-27GL850-B-Ultragear-Compatible-Monitor/dp/B07TD94TQF https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-VG27AQL1A-Supports-Compatible-DisplayPort/dp/B088MLC8PH https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Predator-XB271HU-bmiprz-2560x1440/dp/B06ZXZ3QBD https://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-2560x1440-Adjustable-FreeSync-LS27AG500PNXZA/dp/B096YMQ3C8
  18. Let him have his 15 minutes. Then, *next*!
  19. Pretty much any game where I make more kills than deaths. Which isnt many.
  20. Recommended pre-built companies to check out that are reputable and stand by their products? Other than the ones already mentioned? Do they handle parts that go bad or do the buyers of their systems?
