  1. No Im not going to change spawn protection. Just my opinion. As for the defrost ability. Would you prefer the way it is or a 30 second UAV with up to 10 missiles that will defrost more friendlies than you ever could otherwise? I guess it depends on whether or not you are one of the frozen.
  2. Sure its normal. You still have to earn them. You can just delay when you use them.
  3. I will check that location out this evening. Unfortunately that is what happens with small maps and IMHO the spawn-after-streak protection should only be 3 seconds max. Its only meant to deal with spawn killers that see you disappear and wait for you. But thats me. Looking at the vid one thing I have been thinking about is disable the ability for the predator and others to defrost since they were never intended to do that. They are supposed to be lethal weapons not support. Instead make up a uav where you shoot several unguided missiles. But the missiles dont explode on impact so they dont kill enemies. They are heat sources that defrost. Or I could probably do it as an AI weapon. It would sort of act as an air support version of the sentry defroster. But it would decide on its own who to shoot the missile at. So you lose the ability for predator to defrost but you get a much better tactical weapon in return.
  4. Give me a time index. I dont know which side is which. Also, what problem do you see? Is it that people spawn really close to each other? If so it did that in the building as well so this is nothing new.
  5. Yes that it what happens when you only do one spawn point and the game cant get around it. They are all trying to spawn in the same spot so its first come first served. Everyone else is moved enough to avoid that. Telefragging is the term. Same if you have a side with 16 players but only 8 spawns. Spawning in a corner or secluded area is common. Such as the lower alleyway in Crash. Its a matter of how quickly you can exit the area. If the moved one can be placed in another area so both are secluded, but players can exit freely, players can show me ideas and I will see what I can do.
  6. Thx. I am sure a lot of them will do it and all I can do is just let it run and see. Took out creek and restarted. For the moment I can only do trial and error to see which ones wont work.
  7. I can check it out to see if there is a better location but actually neither side is spread out because the mapper only did one spawn point per side. If there is a better location for the one that was moved maybe do a screenshot of the minimap and show me where. I didnt check out map rotation so I dont actually know if its still there.

  9. They must still all be earned. There is no free lunch. Because of times where players may have a lot of packages only four heli drops are allowed in the game at any one time. Sprinting speed is normal. You are probably just used to the bumped up speed in ftag. But its not non-standard. The crossbow has no sway, like snipers with the steadycam, but it is not more accurate. The only crossbow with drop is the one with explosive bolts.

  11. Ok initial impressions with actual players not bots. Played one full game for Bog. Even tho maps are all stock through the day I will be watching because provider info said Bloc didnt work due to memory issues. Dunno why since it works fine at home. On that map there should be no memory issues at all because its one of the smallest stock maps in the game. Anyways, TDM match time is too long and will be changing that today. I know TDM with nearteam spawns is unpopular but the reason is to push the action for now for better testing. There are some debug messages I missed. Will fix. No significant bugs I could see other than some missing sounds. However lots more testing is needed. Hint hint. I love the HK416. Its really nothing more than the M4 and in effect its the same weapon. So its just me. Same with M32. Same as Chinalake but easier to see without the big iron sight and no reload since its semi-auto. Lower messages instead of the bigger one on top is better but a few could disappear quicker. Not finished and more to do. If any of the new ones could be better or others are missing tell me. Hints are there to help with players that dont know all the commands yet. I ask that people test things like the EMP emitter to see how they work. Its bigger that normal right now for testing. Make sure packages are locked for friendlies (only) unless the owner unlocks them. Hopefully no more douches on your team stealing them. If you play the game please post your own impressions. Feedback helps.
  12. Just tried. modff now on redirect and downloaded at normal speeds. It is showing all files are there so if any for some strange reason disappear then I will be unhappy.

  14. Yea had to restart. s.iwd seems to be downloading from redirect ok. First time it downloaded twice however. Maybe its a cache thing. If the server stops on map changes tell me which map it was rotating from and to. All maps right now are stock.

  16. Ok I will check that out. I had to upload that one twice because the first one was missing some things so there is likely a mismatch. edit: ok it looks like the redirect was missing that file. Strange because I am sure I uploaded it. Doing it again and will post.
  17. Is this mp_arbor_day or mp_arbor_storm? Those two have moved spawns in the mover configs.
  18. The first beta test of the 1.46 mod is online. 74.208.70.133:28960 Named xi146b1 TDM stock maps. I will have to write up a change log but the biggest addition people will notice is the ability to save three streaks. If your stack is full you cannot get any others. If you reach a killstreak normally, say 3 kills for the RC, but your stack is full the award will be ignored. No upgrades. So best to always keep one slot free. Tac nuke doesnt count and has its own slot. You can activate in any order. So if for example your loadout has a UAV and an airstrike you can hold onto your UAV until you get the airstrike and activate it first. Or hold onto it until you get a mininuke. Be sure to set activation keybinds in multiplayer options. There are three of them. 6-7-8 would be the most convenient. Also the key for the nuke. Also be sure to set the keybind for special weapons. Expect bugs. I think I got everything set up correctly but many of the settings are temporary for today. There is one ff and five iwds so expect some download time depending on your connection.
  19. "Need", no. But personally I would partition it into two. I am a naturally disorganized person so it does help me keep things sorted out. Helps keep partition one semi organized but partition two can be a mess without anything to worry about. Or if partition one gets too much clutter. I also keep some of my lesser used programs installed on the second. I dont have an SSD boot drive. I am sure one day I will.

  21. I had a test perk that didnt make you invisible but changed your player skin called 'spy'. In fully hardcore games it worked well but there were a couple limitations that I couldnt overcome that would make it too easy to spot you as a spy if the enemy was looking. I thought about a jammer type device based on a betty but to me the emp emitter idea is better because it's meant to be short as opposed to a device that can last several minutes. Also more of a tactical weapon to be used by attackers pushing forward. As for post-streak spawn protection I thought about reducing the timer by 1/2 but decided against it. However considering how people use that for a tactical advantage, and that you can stack three streaks, I might revisit it. If someone has two RC's and a predator stacked how would he use that spawn protection? How would it change things?
  22. Kumbaya, my lord, kumbaya. Much of the emp will require gameplay testing to see how it affects everything. Having an emitter area kill an RC is too powerful but cutting speed in 1/2 works pretty good. Artillery is being changed a bit. Because it takes a long time instead of 4 barrages of 4 its going to be 3 of 6 with the spread increased slightly. Predators will work if other air support is in progress but only 1 at a time as usual. SAM's are very useful for taking out launchers and all turrets can be activated automatically. No airdrops required unless its from a normal care package.

  24. Ok the emp nade saturation area idea works. Default timer 15 seconds and still working out the range of it. But it will be smaller than the initial blast. If in range of the emitter you get the same emp effects. No minimap or hud, no streaks, jammer effect. When you leave it goes away. The exception is if you got hit by the blast itself. That doesnt stop until the 30 second timer runs out even if you run into and out of an area. That is for players. So the question is, what should happen if a car goes through it? As always I will only include opinions of those that actually tell me. If you dont, and end up not liking it, well I cant help that.
  25. Yea if the enemy was blocking all doors, which happens a lot, do you kick people for not defrosting them in a timely manner?
