  1. Curious tho. Because getting a higher streak erases the lower one you already have why did you get the package? You didnt want the car?

  3. Yea it shouldnt be doing that. But there is a possibility of something happening if you had a kill while in the predator by another method. A betty or something. I havent had time to check that out. edit: any other information you can give would be helpful. Such as if you had hardline.

  5. The binds would be set in multiplayer options along with drop object and the rest so can be anything you want. This method does fit in with how loadouts are handled so its consistent. Also a lot like UT. However weapon cycling wont work since the engine handles that and only works with primary/secondary weapons. People will just have to get used to it and somehow new players will have to be told about how to set it up otherwise there would be a lot of 'my streak doesnt work' to deal with. Not sure how to do that. Might put the disclaimer in the killstreak menu along with the tac nuke one. Oh and sticking with keybinds would mean I dont have to do a menu and get that to work. Means a lot less work for me.
  6. Currently keybinds are set in the multiplayer menu for all the rest so you can choose what you want. If its the menu idea then its just the 6 key as normal.
  7. Forgot to add. Obviously some maps dont have helicopter support so airstrike height is more or less a 'best-guess' method based on various checks. But it is not guaranteed and when all else fails it requires a manually set height with the value kept in server configs. MW2 and after do it that way with an airstrike node built into the map for specific height information. edit: oh and you can watch friendly helis to look for dustup.
  8. 1.46 has bolts and they are less powerful than nade launchers. I figure its a trade off for having a scope. Speaking of 1.46, coming soon. Limited ability to save streaks. Ignore all the debug info. Its still buggy at times and needs a lot more testing but works well so far. You can save a maximum of three at any one time. They can be chosen in any order regardless of how you got them. If the array is full any streak awards after that will be skipped. Lower streaks will not be overwritten with higher ones. So it is best when full to use one of them to free up a slot. If you die and the streak restarts multiple numbers of the same item are possible assuming a slot is open. Two RC's if you get the streak twice. Using of two out of the three slots. The tac nuke is an exception and has its own dedicated 4th slot that only it can use. Currently it works with three keybinds. After chatting with boomboom he suggested that because many players like to activate them quickly this is the fastest method and can be used like switching between your rifle and rpg. The other option is a small menu in the middle like quick commands but in the lower center of the screen with icons. Press 6, as usual, and it brings up the menu. Click the icon with the streak you want and it will bring up the appropriate weapon. Marker, pad, or cellphone. It is more intuitive but takes a bit longer to do. I am open to suggestions on which people would prefer or other considerations to think about. Before anyone asks, three is the limit.
  9. Matchmaking totally annoys me. There should be nothing inherently wrong with allowing communities to form and make their own places.
  10. The way its written it should be highly unlikely since airstrikes take their height from heli nodes. So if helicopters are ok airstrikes are ok. But some extra height is given so aircraft dont fly through helis. Its possible on some maps that the heli nodes are already very close to the top and the extra height might be too high. You can tell if helis are blowing up dust in the air as tho they are near the ground.
  11. If something hits the map ceiling tell me which one so I can test it. With all the custom maps and the different ways they are made sometimes some manual settings have to be added.

  13. Defroster health seems to be pretty good against bullet damage at 1000. The explosive damage modifier might have been too large so I cut that down and it will take effect in a bit.
  14. Great commercial. But no we would never see it in America. The internet is a wonderful thing.
  15. Sounds like first reviews suggest that if you like a good actual cod game then this one isnt for you. Better than Ghost but that isnt saying much. It might be fun for what it is but keep your expectations low. It certainly sounds like its not worth the 60 bucks.

  18. No changes from stock for C4, frag grenades, or rpgs. Not even their models. All pistols are osok depending on range because of the low health associated with hardcore. You can snipe with pistols because that is how they made the game. Pistols can literally fire as far as sniper rifles. The difference is the fov, recoil and the rest. And obviously the scope. I will test out the defroster health. It should be pretty tough against bullet weapons but not so much against explosives. Full defrost time is four seconds. Default range is same as a standard sentrygun. The slow 'pulses' are just the fx. Just as the minigun fx for the sentry are just for show. The actual beam is invisible, like player defrosts. As for the emp, other than bumping up the range the answer is that it functions as intended.
  19. I will see how much defensive strength the defroster has. edit: ok defroster health defaults at 1000. Which is pretty high. However explosives have a pretty large multiplier against turrets. A melee is an automatic kill.
  20. You have hardwired and emp nades to help. But they arent foolproof. They arent supposed to be. There is nothing to fix.
  21. Could always go back to the way it was when cod first had the car. Meaning no protection at all.
  22. As for the perk, most people dont run around with tacmask anyways but I will have to think about it.
  23. It might be possible but I never tried it with flash or stun or even smoke. However the ability is limited to frags. They are not anti-car nades they are emp nades. If I do the flashbang thing they dont need to be on the ground and just have a timer. Besides, shouldnt an explosive device blow off your hand at a minimum? If you remember, in the past the jammer didnt just prevent firing but actually stopped the car. Those with the perk loved it. Those with the car hated it. You blocked the car then naded it with emp. That was considered too powerful so the freezing part was removed to be more balanced. On next server restart the emp range will be a bit larger so people can see how it goes.
  24. The nade class would have to work as a flashbang. So for example it would not work with a flare to defrost otherwise it would float in the air. It also wouldnt be able to go as far. I suppose I could so something where a flash would affect the car like a player. It wont disable it but blind and stun it for a moment. That is probably straightforward to do because the car is just the player with a car mesh anyways. It would go with the flashbang. If this is acceptable I will see what I can do today. I am in the middle of a couple other things right now.
  25. Yes, unless you have armor piercing. Which is why the icon is a helmet.
