  1. Will be no more headshot damage for Duke. Just normal. No the trophy didn't intercept the mini nuke. Well, unless something weird happened. All valid targets 'announce' so to speak to the level that it was fired. The mini nuke isn't one of them. Same with the smartbomb.
  2. Hmm that's something I didn't account for. Will check it out. Anyways, dealing with a pesky bug but for Heist going to add two things and monitor the results. The player with the perk can only use it once in that life. The other is that for the frozen player once one is taken that's it until the next defrost/death.
  3. Most scripts are not built into the mod and kept server side only.

  6. For maps, working on it. As I am sure others will attest to, testing out map rotations can be long and tedious.
  7. Its called 'explosive damage'. Been there forever. Paveway... wow that was a long time ago. And still hearing about predator defrosts after years. My god, man... years. That is a pretty good idea for Heist. Either that or limit it to a maximum of one loss if you are frozen so they dont all gang up on you. As for adding more stuff, I am trying to keep things down so as not to hurt map compatibility as much as possible. Every new model increases the likelihood of out of memory errors. Every new image the 2400 error. And so on. Still working to improve both as it is not to increase them.

  9. Yes I know about the betties. As for Heist... sorry but its not going away. However, it *will* be adjusted to make it another fun little bit of chaos but also not unfair. A person with 3 streaks... possibly 4... should not be gang raped and have them all stolen by the enemy team. Which in itself is a comment about teamwork and its good to see. This does mean for some it works if players get something out of it not just helping the team. ?

  11. They all float. Another one of those UT4K throwbacks. The first game I played a freezetag mod. First to actually have it, I think. Combat Medic time will be adjusted. Will change number of rounds this evening to 4. As for the idea about the defroster car, many have already been doing exactly that to defeat the jammers. They would do the same here if added and not much point in having specific offensive and defensive cars.
  12. Many players are campers anyway because they want the streaks in the first place. The thing to do is figure out possibilities to make it fair for all. I have heard the opposite saying that it is 'too hard' to use. Who is right and who is wrong? Objectively.
  13. Heist should be fair for all. It should be hard to do, like hacking, but also shouldnt overwhelm the frozen player with thieves taking everything. Like other things its open to adjustments if this is not the case.
  14. Oh dont kid yourself. I would have eventually figured it out when specing all of you to see how its all working. Which I do. Soon as I see something unexpected I think 'WTF was that???' ? The dual cars is not a novelty but a way to adjust an overpowered 3-kill streak weapon (usually two since hardline is common). Also to make it line with similar streak items. Two UAVs. Two sentries. Two B2's. I remembered: doDecoySounds( owner, position ). It was a variant of an EMP.
  15. As for the FX, personally I think they are a cool addition to have. Yes the idea was to give a clue where the other team was being defrosted, *IF* you are paying attention. There are also actually two different sounds and colors, one for each team, so when you do hear it you will know if its friend or foe. However I can see the FX could be a problem if your team is down 15 to 1 or something like that. You could also use it for bait to get them all to rush a particular location and lay in wait for them. Or use it to lure them away. Might actually make for an interesting tactical weapon. A fake defrost with a little bit of weapon fire noise to distract the enemy. 1.46 does have directional audio for freezing/unfreezing. Carries to a distance of 2000 units. That said, sound distance is being adjusted.
  16. Checked and the sound plays normally. There are two sounds. One is low speed the other high. Depending on whether or not the car is speeding. The higher one is louder and carries farther. However that is also relative to whatever other noise is around you, and your own weapons. Thought about making it the Prius of rc-xd's. Quiet as a church mouse. ?
  17. Do you know if actually HE crashed before the nuke killed everyone?
  18. I see two bad errors in the logs. One, seems again that a player was deleted or suddenly crashed out or something and various things were trying to run code on something that was no longer there. The other is map related.
  19. Not sure what you mean by launching one while one in inventory. Can you describe further what 'fucks up the map' means? Used it probably 50 times yesterday when going through this weeks rotation to see if there were any basic map loading or round switching problems. As for the splash screen, I just got tired of the same ol same ol boring soldier images. Everybody does that. Oh and why are all the usual video game soldier images from cod/bf/moh men? No love for women soldiers? ? Most of the image itself on map load comes from the maps themselves. Maps missing the load screen show the grey checkerboard. The girl, along with the 'activision', 'esrb', etc ones are overlays.
  20. There is no more normal care package just the one. Yes there is a very small chance of a tac nuke. Losing inventory after streaks is a known issue and fixed for next update. For splash screen do you mean on map load? Class choice, server info etc? Main page after you leave the server? Most are made up of multiple elements.
  21. Offhand I don't know the volume and falloff in MW2. For the falling that's a side effect of disabling the ability to move. You can also commonly see it when the round is over and controls are frozen in the same manner. However I will see if a workaround can be done.
  22. RC's are sneaky bastards. Will check it out. Everyone should be hearing the same sound the driver does.

  24. Press and hold and yes you should see the progress bar. Hmmm, just tried it. One shot and I was dead. Should be 200 health. edit: Ok I see the Duke issue. The problem.... well not exactly a problem... is that any registered headshot is an instakill. Regardless of range, weapon, armor or anything else. There isnt an exception made for Duke. So perhaps in this case there should be of some sort. Maybe +%50?
