  1. Happy Birthday, Maz! Now bend over, bare that ass, and get ready for some serious birthday spankings! (ointment rub to follow, so it can't be all bad, right?)
  2. I'm currently reading the "Turn the Other Cheek" post in the "Boobs and Bums" forum. Best read EVER, and it's mostly in Braille. I'm an Idiot. .
  3. OMG, there's all sorts of Awesome right there!
  4. That's HOT !!! The boat's nice, too, btw.
  5. So lazy, in fact, that you forgot to type the "I" in that sentence. Must have reserved it for the "I" in IDIOT !!!
  6. Always sending you and your family good thoughts of strength and healing, Angel.
  7. If there was a "Don't Like This!" button, I'd click it on every one of you Win8 Trolls' posts. Get over it, for God's sake. It's boring as shit to see you blather on about what a piece of crap Win8 is. Like it or not, it IS the new Windows. All your pontificating over it's horribleness and advice of "downgrading" to 7 just poisons and obstructs constructive conversation. Your mother put it kinder, but your dad probably said, "If you don't have anything nice to say, SHUT THE FUCK UP !!" Yeah I can hear him alright...
  8. Because applications need to be "installed" into Windows, for the ones that are not running just by double-clicking the exe for the app, or by creating a shortcut pointing to the app folder in the previous version of Windows, you most likely will need to actually install that app in Win 8. This is a limitation of ANY version of Windows, not just 8.
  9. When you go under "Recording" in the "Sound" applet in the Control Panel, are there any disabled devices? You may have to right-click in the device list and select to show disabled devices to see any that are disabled. If there are any disabled devices, enable them (right-click -> enable) and see if it works now. There seems to be a lot of chatter about iw3mp.exe and sound driver configuration in various forums.
  10. i ve never heard anyone say anything bad bout win7...and it is not ridiculous solution to downgrade if its not workn on the new os and it does on old..and the person using it doesnt know that much bout win8...if i was u i would downgrade to win7 until u can figure win8 out...do some research bout it first that what i do b4 buying any new os or pc program...always got to research to see if you benefit from it or not..personally dont see much different between the 2 except that win 8 is set up for touchscreen and doesnt have typical desktop screen...i personally dont see any need to upgrade to win 8 unless u want to go touchscreen...win7 is awesome and will be for few years to come.. How are you going to figure an OS out unless you work with it? How are you going to do that once you've downgraded? Yes it is accommodating of touch devices, but no, it's not exclusively for touch devices, and no, it's not unfriendly to desktops. Doesn't have a typical desktop screen? I beg to differ. It most certainly does. Saying that tells me you haven't even worked with Win8 for even 5 minutes. Freaked out about the lack of a Start Orb? Just move you mouse down to the lower left corner - viola! Oh, that takes you to the Start Sceen? Yeah. It does. It's the replacement for the Start Menu. But whatever. With every new Windows release there are always two camps. The ones who embrace the new and grow with is, and those who resist and fall behind. There's no right or wrong answer, just do what you want to do. But telling people what they should do, especially telling them they should downgrade, is just a slap in the face as if to say, "man did you just fuck up!" That's always nice to hear, isn't it. My opinion.
  11. What a cutie, Dean. Clearly you're a proud Grandmeanie.
  12. Not quite... It still has the flat non-aero look. I'm wondering how long before they put that back. A lot of how you enjoy Windows is in enjoying the way it looks. I'm just hoping Win7 isn't the height of Windows aesthetics.
  13. His mom must be so proud.
  14. Quite a MILF you got for a mom, there MTN
  15. Try this: From the Start Screen: Start typing "comp" (for "computer") under Apps Results for "comp" you will see "Computer" Right-click Computer and select "Manage" from the options at the bottom of the screen. You will be transfered to the Desktop and the "Computer Management" app will start. On the services tree on the left pane of the Computer Management window, expand the "Services and Applications" entry then click in "Services." Scroll down the list of services in the right side of the window till you find one called "PnkBstrA" Does it say "Manual" (or anything else besides "Automatic") in the "Startup" column? If so: right-click on the PnkBstrA line and select "Properties." Look for the "Startup type" drop-down list about in the middle of the "General" tab and change it to "Automatic" Click Apply Click OK Close the Computer Management app. Does COD4 work now?
  16. No. Do not downgrade. Please refrain from un-helpful and ridiculous "solutions." The answer is out there for this issue. And let's get real - I specifically recall all the BS about what a crap OS Win7 was. Of course at that point everyone was whooping and hollering about downgrading all the way back to XP. Point is, look at all the egg on the faces of those lowercase-i iDIOTS. Major changes does not = "BS operating system."
  17. Does this help? http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3043234 And remember to run all tools as Administrator. Also, check the last entry on page 1 (of 5 so far) regarding the replacement of iw3mp.exe. No clue if this is safe or not! http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-gaming/call-of-duty-4-crashes-in-windows-8/d640522f-9564-4758-a94b-86700817071d .
  18. Watch it while you can. My guess is Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer will throw a copyright violation exception at that any second now...
  19. If you're sure you're apples to apples, then go with the lower cost to build and save the difference for future upgrades. $2-400 goes a long way toward the next video card, if not getting you all the way there.
  20. I think these need to be added to the XI Downloader. It's a pain to go through the in-game downloads and all the post-dl crashes it seems to invoke.
  21. This is really just going to fuel the Intel vs AMD debate and not give you much empirical data to go on. Look up the benchmarks and maybe look at it that way. Tom's Hardware is a good website to visit for reviews. The Newegg reviews are helpful, but sometimes jaded. You're not even apples to apples (wd vs segate drives, for instance) which leads me to believe you may be looking at pre-configured DIY builds from Newegg. Not a bad approach, btw, but not helping the "which one is better" question. Too many variables. Also, remember that you have to get deep into the nitty-gritties to determine whether memory timing has been optimized. And you didn't specify the motherboard for either build. (Oops, yes you did.) No easy answers here. .
  22. Lowercase-i iDIOT
  23. I think others are running just fine with COD and Win8. Try elevating your game to admin ("run as administrator") at least for one session just to see if it needs to initialize things properly by creating files in places UAC might otherwise prohibit. Let us know how it goes...
  24. Awesome video. Very beautiful country. Interestingly, though, I didn't see any Potato Guns...
  25. Some Asian Rock...
