Update..... I was told that my first Biopsies were actually inconclusive not Benign thats why they had me back in so quick for the second appointment, (consultants secretary read his notes wrong when she typed up the letter) but never mind at least they followed up quickly with another appointment. Well 2 weeks ago I went back into hospital to get more Biopsies done everything went well and I was sent home the following morning. They gave me more Antibiotics for the throat infection and let me leave. Recovery seemed better this time and i was back to work the following week. I had a follow up appointment Monday just gone with the Consultant, He told me that I did have throat Cancer and the growth/ tumour was around the size of a large Pea. They removed it and tissue around it to make sure they got it all. Unfortunately I still have growths / polyps on my actual vocal chords but as yet they are not cancerous. they did not risk removing them because the risk to losing my voice is very high, but as a precaution I will be attending the hospital once a month for at least the next 12 months for them to keep an eye on everything, the first appointment is June the 10th. So all in its good news that they diagnosed it and got it out and they really are on the ball monitoring it from here on out.

Hi all Well as you know I had Biopsies taken of growth's on my vocal chords for suspected throat Cancer. Friday I finally recieved the results.... they are Benign and the Doctors hope to reduce them with medication and remove whats left after at a later date. But the CT scan i had the week after the Biopsies has revealed other lumps/ growths in my neck so now I am back in the Hospital tomorrow morning at 7:30 am to get more Biopsies, fingers crossed i get the same result . But either way I will carry on regardless and hopefully be back in game real soon. Take care everyone see you later

As some of you know from the UK XI get together last year, and previous Zoom gatherings I have had a problem with my throat for over a year and kept losing my voice. Doctors kept telling me on 3 seperate occasions that it was due to Covid or should I say long Covid . Well about November I lost my voice almost completely only the odd day where i was remotely audible. After waiting weeks to see my Doctor I finally got an appointment 3rd January. Thankfully my usual Doctor was off sick so I had to see a Stand in, And the first thing he did was refer me to Hospital. 2 weeks ago I saw the ENT consultant who after asking me numerous questions shoved a camera up my nose and down into my throat, Well I have 3 or more growths on my Vocal Chords, what they are we do not know yet. But I am going into Hospital 7:30am this coming Monday for Biopsies to determine what happens next. Now I am not under any illusion that this was inevitable after 43 years of Smoking, but it is a major kick in the teeth after the wife having bowel cancer last year It would have been nice to have one year without any Crap. But No matter what one way or another I will get through this and then you wont be able to shut me up I will keep you all updated once I have any information. Take care all Rob (Baldie)

The number of famous people in various fields with Aspergers is amazing. Most say it helps them see things from a totally different perspective. Here is just a few... Elon Musk Bill Gates Tim Burton Anthony Hopkins Steven Speilberg Bob Dylan and Lionel Messi the list goes on and on thats why I have always told my 2 step sons Kane and Jake who have Aspergers that anything is possible if they want it and work hard. There is no limits

Congratulations. With good parenting anything is possible. One of my sons is Autistic has ADD and Dyslexia also suffers with Depression but he has held down a full time job for 5 years now and 2 weeks ago passed his driving test on the first attempt . We have always told our kids anything is possible and never give up, and when they fail we pick them up and help them move forward. So keep up the great work and the world is your sons Oyster. He can achieve anything with you at his side encouraging him

Sorry i missed it But I played golf at The Belfry on saturday then went to my normal golf club straight after and had one or two too many in the 19th hole. I drank so much that i cant even remember getting home.

Hi all my wife came home Tuesday and is doing well, She is still in pain but her spirits are high. What has really helped is all the well wishes and yesterday one of her colleagues from school brought her a gift that really made her day.. Get well messages from every child in the school over 300 her teaching and working with kids means everything to her so this was very special. A simple thing like this helps so much with her recovery. Well wishing you all the best Baldie

Thank you all for the well wishes and Prayer's. It means a lot to me and my family and I have no doubt it has helped. My wife has seen everyone of your posts and sends her love and thanks to you all. With any luck I will have her home in the ext day or so, We know it is still a long way to go before she is fully healed but we are over the biggest hurdle and it only gets better from here
