  1. I have often considered getting one or two of these. Are yours bolted down in any way? Do you find them reliable and easy access?
  2. lol you would freak here engine, we keep ours in the night stands beside the bed.. Should get a safe I guess . I do keep one pistol readily available but most others are secure in gun safes. I do have quite a few C&R type rifles in gun cabinets that do lock but I do not consider them very secure.
  3. Camo and Dark Earth currently are popular. Black is the standard. I also like combinations of Stainless Steel and Black. More and more variations to choose from.

  5. One of 4 safes that I own with some of my pistols:
  6. You are beginning to catch up. Happy B-Day!
  7. Not your traditional NASCAR driver:
  8. He had that coming, long overdue.
  9. I give the new car look a plus. Did not like the previous version, cold and impersonal. Nice pics!
  10. Probably because she could not have remembered the words live.

  12. Isn't Chrysler (Dodge) out of NASCAR at the moment? Or maybe it's just manufacturer funding?

  15. Being old school I like the return to some similarity to the cars the public can buy even if it's in looks only. I am curious as to how the aerodynamics might differ between manufacturers. In the old days that was a constant battle as to who had a certain aerodynamic advantage, particularly with the advent of the spoiler. I am pretty sure current testing technology like the wind tunnels will level the playing field.
  16. Name one other major sport where fans can interact with the stars as they can in NASCAR. I am not hardcore NASCAR but do like their down to earth nature towards their fans. This is just one example: http://www.nascar.com/en_us/news-media/articles/2013/01/15/danica-patrick-photo-fan-daytona-international-speedway.html
  17. No way I can root for a team with Ray Lewis considering his past history and actions at the time.
  18. In a similar situation my son-in-law brought in 4 propane hot air blowers. They did the trick very nicely. I was fortunate because of where he works he had access to them. Floor had been covered in water 2-3 inches deep. Removed standing water with pumps. Propane blowers did the rest and rather quickly too. Had to reorient them on occasion for efficiency as areas dried. Got damn hot down there too. No leftover musty smell. Carpets look good, there were a couple spots (corners) I re-glued. I was most fortunate the water was not muddy, pretty much straight rainwater that found it's way in through a window well that had it's cover blown away.
  19. No football! No kicking the kids or wife. Get well. I suspect some hard rehab is in your future.
  20. Super Bowl SanFrancisco vs Baltimore 49ers vs Ravens Harbaugh vs Harbaugh Probably pretty good odds that won't happen again with different brothers.
  21. Had my dogs out to the lake today. My youngest expected to go swimming and the frozen lake caught her off guard. You could just see the wheels turning as she inspected the lake. Did not take long before she was hauling as around on the frozen lake like it was a great adventure. Talked to some ice fishermen and they were laughing their ass of watching her entertain herself on the ice.
  22. Along with Earl Weaver Stan Musial passed away today. A player I certainly remember from my youth. He was 92. An interesting unusual fact, he had the same amount of hits on the road as he did at home. http://stlouis.cardinals.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20130119&content_id=41044572&vkey=pr_stl&c_id=stl
  23. Wow! What a difference in culture or perception. In the states, at least in Pennsylvania and almost all Eastern states, the Red squirrel is considered the pest and the Grey is considered a game animal protected by specific hunting laws. In addition the Red is considered the aggressive species often driving out the Greys and the Grey more docile. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_gray_squirrel http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_red_squirrel
  24. @@DEEJAYKEG Kudos DJ, I have often seen conflicting posts on a common topic. This is the first I have seen an author defer to a previous post. I respect your action, courtesy and lack of ego.
  25. Natural evolution I could accept, I just do not like man/woman messing with Mother Nature.
