I may have posted these before. They were bought when I had my C&R License (Curio and Relic) These rifles were refinished and accurized by Miltech Arms who do very nice custom restorations. Just a standard 9MM, nothing special. I do however like FN Herstall, a quality product. They were initially only involved with military guns but are now branching out. Among shooters a well known brand. The laser attachment is from Crimson Trace and it projects a green laser. Supposedly better than the standard red. It does look good. My one dog keeps trying to catch it. I don't do that too much because it almost seems like teasing. Should get to shoot it this week.

I used to be a feather twanger but much like trapping I gave it up because I thought both sports were cruel and inhumane. Too much suffering involved in the kill and too many wounded or crippled game animals left in the woods. I shot in the open class at local archery shoots. For those who do not know "Open" is the highest class locally. Admittedly this was back when I shot a 60 Lb Bear Grizzly re-curve. You could not hold that one at full draw for too long before the shakes set in. I still shoot archery but only at targets. I use a Mission Craze with all the bells and whistles. And even though I can shoot fairly well I still do not favor archery for game. Maybe rabbits would be okay, you would either kill it outright or stick it to the ground so it would not get away. http://www.missionar.../product/craze/ Perhaps I am being a bit unfair since I do not hunt anything anymore. I am a softy in considering animal suffering. Trapping? Don't even get me started. Unless trapping for you livelihood or pest control it should be banned as inhumane. Brutal sport. Go stick your leg in a trap and sit there for a day or two waiting for the trapper to come and put you out of your misery. Your pic however shows an excellent shot.

Only Japanese knives I have are bayonets for the Arisaka's. My wife's father has also passed down a Japanese sword which I know nothing about. He was in Japan with our Navy after the WW II surrender. My wife never got the history behind it before he passed. I am sure it was simply a war trophy for which, knowing her father, probably bartered for.

There is no winner on either side in something like this. One can only hope the right choices are made and lessons are learned. No easy task.

LOL, understand I say this in humor resulting from another topic. Talk weed all you want but talk about the legalization of weed it may become political and moved into the vault.

Admittedly I do not know the history nor have I seen any disrespectful political commentary since I have visited the servers. Not having seen any evidence of it being controversial or difficult to admin I just thought it very odd to avoid political dialogue which is an active everyday topic in many lives. And if it isn't it should be, just like making sure you always take time to vote.

LOL, have to admit that I am surprised that in an adult clan that there appears to be a fear of political dialouge. Politics, while they can be volitle, they are an every day part of life in free countries. In fact they are an essential part of life in a democratic form of government. I just find it surprising that the topic seems to be taboo for non members and chaperoned for members. A lot of constructive dialogue was missed in an event as important as the past presidential election. Again I understand it is XI's choice, I just think it is odd.

Perhaps it's best this post is deleted. I have my answer and nothing further is to be gained. The only thing I would hope changes is that if a persons post is deleted or moved that they be notified so they are not left wondering where the heck it went.

I would like members to look at it and see if it was political. I do not think it was political in my opinion. No political party reference was made at all. The fiscal cliff is a reality effecting all Americans as is the expenditure of tax dollars. No reference to political parties, pro or con, was made. Somewhat disappointing that it was arbitrarily moved for being a political type post. That said I still respect your decision to administer the web site as you see fit.
