  1. I do not mind bunny hoppers but I go back to when in FPS universally Bunny Hopping was discouraged and often resulted in kicks. Mods were tried to reduce hopping but were mostly unsuccessful. Control by Admins was difficult at best so the trend has been to basically ignore them for lack of any good solution. As I said, I do not mind hoppers but in my book any hopper is a less than skilled player and receives no credit for a good game in my eyes. If you want to hop, go ahead, it's allowed. It won't bother me because it indicates a lack of skill compensated for by hopping. In life some things, often less than ethical, will cause you to lose competitions. Lance Armstrong would be an appropriate example. IMHO hopping fits in that category. So I just ignore what I can't control. Hop all you want but also know many will only perceive you to be a loser. No harm done getting killed by a player who has to hop for lack of gaming skill.
  2. Probably some Eagles fan did it...................if not we will be glad to take credit for it.
  3. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-20012494 Probably caused by Hxtr.
  4. "That's righteous brother." I trust you know what I mean since that is the original comment from which they took their name. It also applies to you, very nice job, done with feeling, especially on a favorite of mine from the Righteous Brothers.
  5. Mary was waiting for her first appointment in the reception room of a new dentist, and suddenly noticed his certificate, which bore his full name. Suddenly, she remembered a tall, handsome boy with the same name that had been in her high school class some 40+ years ago. Upon seeing him, however, she quickly discarded any such thought. This balding, gray-haired man with the deeply lined face was far too old to have been her classmate!! After he had examined her teeth, she asked him if he had attended the local high school. "Yes," he replied. "When did you graduate?" she asked. He answered, "In 1954." "Why, you were in my class!" she exclaimed. He looked closely and then asked, "What did you teach?"
  6. Too damn bad he did not kill himself.
  7. Bummer.
  8. It's beyond me why anyone gets pissed for someone not talking. People have their reasons and they should be respected. The matter becomes more disheartening in something like this where a gamer going through a serious life event has to come to the forum to make an explanation to the idiots that hassle him. Perhaps "idiots" is a bad choice of words, I doubt members would behave in that manner. He should not have to do that.
  9. While I am not a member it s nice to see from the replies that your primary concern, as it should be, is care and comfort for your wife.
  10. All may be right with the world. FB appears to be tanking again.
  11. I missed it but as you say worth another bit of recognition.
  12. We lost a veteran of three wars who was also memorialized in "We Were Soldiers Once........ and Young". His part was played by Sam Elliot in a story based on the Battle of la Drang Valley. http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2012/10/11/basil-plumley-army-veteran-of-three-wars-dies-at-92/?hpt=hp_c3
  13. Well if he sucked I just might cheer. Hell, I am stuck with Dog Killer Michael Vick who I hope gets permanently maimed every time he steps on the field. I can't root for the Eagles until he is gone, hopefully gone on a stretcher. I wish someone would just break him in two and not put him back together. Besides, I am from Philly. We threw snowballs at Santa Claus and cheered when Michael Irvin got hurt and ended his career. We have a history to uphold.
  14. Certainly not for political discussion.
  15. Just thought the below link on Damascus Steel might be of interest. The making of Damascus knives and swords is truly an art form. Knife makers must pass stringent tests to become certified as Master Bladesmith's. http://en.wikipedia..../Damascus_steel
  16. Never saw anything like it but another guess, because of the marlinspike, is that it may have been a sailors knife because the marlinspike figures prominently with tying rope and often used on tall ships. Since the ships also had cannons the brass and marlinspike would fit for an armed sailing vessel.
  17. Similar situation but not as many. My addiction has been guns. It is nice to get them out once in a while and finger fuck them. Good for insurance purposes to have a photographic record. I also have many WW I and WW II rifles bought when I held a C&R license. I have a corresponding bayonet for each military rifle. About 25 in all, some duplicates such as 5 M-1's.
  18. Some of mine, Damascus blades:
  19. I liked the ESPN headline: Red, White and Blew It!
  20. LOL, it was a runaway until the US choked. But give credit where due, the Euro's earned it.
  21. Does "Choke" apply here? At least it would be a viable excuse.
  22. As much as it pains me the Euro's deserve props for hanging in when their outlook was bleak. Well done.
  23. Obviously I spoke to soon...........embarrassing. Humble pie now being served.
  24. Stick a fork in the Europeans, they are done !
