Well I was way off Track with my advice.. I was thinking of a different issue.

In order to make it work... Take a old audio port plug, and cut it so it;s just the plug portion. insert it into the mic jack. reboot your pc, then run the game. Also, I believe that the 1.8 vers is the same as the 1.7, just rebranded. I might be mistaken on that. I do recall however, there used to be an issue running COD on windows 8, windows 8.1 and earlier versions of windows 10. That for some reason wouldn't run unless there was something in the Mic port. Best advice I can offer.. hope it helps... XTeKK

Possibly a bad file in the install directory. May have to go back in reinstall the 1.7 cod5 patch. try that first. Where did you get your cod5? steam? or direct cd install? but yeah, sounds like a software issue more so than a hardware issue. Keep us posted. ~XTeKK

It's a hidden location, where you can see the other players and shoot them but they can not see you. it's an unfair advantage. So yeah, it's always been my understanding, to just stay out of it. ~XTeKK

beers recruited me.. I hated to see him go.. but I don't agree with how he has treated Xi since...

Xi is not banning members just because they decide to play on Beers server.. Nope.. Not happening.. You can play on any server you want.. we do not control you, Nor care too.. However.. do to personal issues.. that Beers may still harbor towards Xi in general, over his resentments We can Not Advise that its a good idea to patronize his server with your Xi Tag in public notice.. Even then, chances are he has a log file of everyone's IP that normally was in the Xi server while he was Still an Admin in good standing.. so, even then,.. I am not sure I could advise risking it.. If you fear being banned due to association. Regardless.. bottom line here is this.. There should not be any reason, why Beers would ban our members from his server other than out right animosity towards Xi. Which is disappointing .. considering a lot of our current admins, Or Players.. had Nothing to do with what lead up to his removal from the clan. I believe that says enough, and says it all.. ~XTeKK
