Also noticed in the new mod, if you throw your care package grenade and then get shot your care package doesn't arrive

This may sound silly but have you tried changing to a different key?

And is it definitely the drop item key you've binded?

You need to use the drop key to place it GG.

There was a bug with it that if you died, you dropped the SAM but still kept one. So every time you died you dropped another one.

Sammy removed the drop on death to prevent this.

Belle I find the FN-SCAR H to be the closest to the ACR. Like you, I was an ACR noob, but I find myself playing just as well with the SCAR. I find it's good even over longer distances, even though it probably shouldn't be able to obtain kills at that distance. Give it a go and see how it works out.

Yes its dev info. I missed it. For the bubble to work there are five versions. Each smaller than the last. Yes I could do more but its also a matter of how big the xmodel gets. I will be testing in the future for a version of 8 or 10 and see if I can get away with it. Unfortunately the game engine doesnt allow me to simply scale a model up or down.

 

I dont know if the server got restarted yet but the next time it does the SAM should change so you do not drop it on death but keep it. Its not consistent with the others but should get around the drop on death issues until I get a fix online.

That should be fixed. At least, I dont see it happening anymore. I suspect if it did the test server would have shown it.

It 100% happens with the Sam turret.

An option was added for server admins to choose whether or not drop sentries on death should be disabled. By default it is to drop it. I think. There is an unbelievable amount of code so I forget things.

Ha that's cool mate, just so we don't have 100 sentry guns all over the map again cause you drop it AND keep it in inventory, so if you keep dying you keep dropping one

People often don't want to like change, without really giving it a chance. So the old mod was taken off for a week.

I did notice though @@Sammy if you die before setting you sam turret that you still keep it in your inventory when you respawn.

If you drop using your drop key then it is removed from inventory.

I'm not sure about the sentries though.

Azzkikr the crosshairs make it too much like softcore. I like having to aim to kill things or I'd play G13

Can the crosshairs be taken off the middle of the screen? They're so annoying.

Also I heard a few folk saying that they couldn't shoot through the frozen bubbles?

I've started to play a lot less recently due to getting bored with the old mod.

A few of us tried populating the new mod server for a while but it never really took off.

I'd personally like to see the new mod on the main MW2 server
