I know that lake can be awesome, but this guide service sounds lame, TROLLING? what about casting, thats what most minnesotans do, cast to a rock or weededge, have a follow and hook em on a figure 8 at boatside. trolling is boring.
That's the only way they do it around here.Lot of times the fish are just sunning themselves and are laying right on top of the water and the damn things won't go after anything.A lot of times in the spring you catch them while jigging for Walleye cause the muskies are in there chomping down on the walleye and that's when the walleye stop bitin.Also those muskies are slimy and slime up your boat.I'm not sure but I think they have to be at least 42" to keep them if you want to mount them.But anyways that is quite a fish you have there.Congrats.Just wish we had a lot of little lakes like you do in Rugger Land.We just have the Detroit river and Lake St.Clair (not a great lake) and Lake Erie(never really heard of any muskie being caught there)Maybe where the river empties into the lake.
