    WHITEBOY After you installed...is the Area51 mod the only mod downloaded so far..? Correct. I think I'll try Phuckitman's suggestion. I don't see how it will work, but at this point, I'm ready to bring in a pagan virgin priestess to bless my computer.

    GGGGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Complete reinstall of COD2 didn't work. So, being desperate (those n00bs aren't going to pwn themselves), I did a total reinstall of Windows 7. AND IT'S STILL DOING THE SAME THING!!!!! Perhaps this is a sign from the CoD gods that it's time to move to Cod4. The zombie server is helluva fun.

    Grr.. Took out everything. Maps, mods, etc. and it's still doing the same thing. Looks like no Area 51 for me.

    So whenever I try to get into the Area 51 server, I get stuck in a downloading loop. It tries to download xij.iwd, then goes to z12.iwd and downloads it in about a second. Then it goes to xij.iwd, pauses, and then download z12.iwd. I tried deleting all of the downloaded .iwd's in the "main" folder, but that didn't help. Any ideas are welcome.

    Portal is quite possibly the best game I have every played. Supposedly, Portal 2 will have multiplayer. Hopefully, XI will set up a server or two.

    Well, I can't exactly blame the cop for making that mistake. If the pants weren't so low, the cop wouldn't have gone there. I still don't understand how that can be comfortable.

    Go for a 5770 or a 5850. nVidia isn't worth it this round.

    You should be able to delete the previous version files. However, it's best to do a format before installing a new OS.

    Also, try running it in compatibility mode. Right click the .exe, go to properties- compatibility and check the box that says "run in compatibility mode"

    If it's a choice between 2 5870's or a 5890, go for the 5890. The GPU's are 2 5870's underclocked to 5850 speeds, and they are prime picked. The 5970 will overclock like a dream and crush 2 5870's.
