  1. Hi Sassy, welcome to the forums. Have enjoyed playing with you, & don't be shy about posting here or using that mic. Getting your butt kicked is a part of it..... just remember it's all done in good fun. You have a good sense of humor, you don't complain, & don't whine when you get weasel-whacked.... good traits to have. Welcome, & enjoy..... Ferret
  2. It takes longer to load this page, than it does to download all the viruses from porn sites. But it's worth it when you get here
  3. I just heard on the radio, that a lady here in Knoxville found a thick-paper legal document in her yard after the storm.... she looked it up & called, and turns out the document was from a company near Tuscaloosa whose office was destroyed in the tornado. She actually talked to someone at the company, who thanked her & told her that document was in a heavy, locked filing cabinet on the first floor of a two-story building that was leveled. It is just under 300 miles from Knoxville to Tuscaloosa., and that paper made it here. Damn.
  4. Here in Knoxville, TN - we had a LOT of golf-ball sized hail, there are pictures on local news showing fist-sized hail chunks. I found one almost 3 inches wide, I still have it in the freezer. Both of our cars look like someone took a ball-peen hammer to them, we had 3 windows broken out of the house, and our wood siding looks like a shooting-range backstop. Our trees are shredded, and the ground is still covered with an inch-thick layer of shredded leaves. Street drains and runoff sewers are stopped up with all the debris. The homeowners and car insurance companies are SWAMPED with claims, it could be weeks before we can settle. But all that being said, my brother lives in Birmingham, AL.... and while it didn't hit his house, he knows 2 of the people that died in tornados, and one of his daughter's high school BFF was killed in the Tuscaloosa tornado - so all in all, we were VERY lucky to have only suffered some minor property damage here.
  5. He wouldn't exactly be my *first* choice for President..... but admittedly, he has bigger onions than any President since Reagan, and he is NOT constrained to the mealy-mouth, pussified, spineless political correctness... that our last few Presidents have been. He says what he thinks, and doesn't rely on advisors or teleprompters to tell him what he thinks. One thing I would LOVE to see, is for him to march into Washington DC, call in all the over-paid & under-performing bureaucrat kiss-asses, and say "YOU'RE FIRED!!!"
  6. Shamu, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how losing a wife of forty years would leave an un-fillable void. Sometimes you need close friends & relatives to talk to, but sometimes it helps to talk with people far away & not-so-close as well. While I admittedly don't really know you, I don't feel you are a stranger, either. ANYTHING you need or want from us at XI, you've got it. For whatever it's worth - you, your family & friends, and Dianne WILL be prayed for by an entire congregation next Sunday in Knoxville, TN - every little bit helps. God Bless.....
  7. Malificent GUYS!?! God damn male chauvinists! Awwww, you know we wuv ya....
  8. NickTheGrip COD2 runs fine under Win 7 Just remember all your files are in a different location than with XP Yeah, I couldn't get it to load initially, but looked it up and you can't load it with "autorun" (gives a "missing library" error)... but it loaded OK running the manual setup, go figure. But now I can't get my microphone to work.... Oh well, at least the smack is back.
  9. FOUND IT!!! Now to load all 6 disks & patch & update - hopefully see ya soon. Hope there's no compatibility issues with Win7 Thanks guys....
  10. Malificent Damn, nobody has an extra COD2 they don't use?! Wish I did... Ferret makes me feel all warm and gooey...well that's cuz my old ferret (RIP) used to find me fun to piss and shit on! LMAO! That little dude loved me too...but soon as he got on my shoulder...marked his territory with a vengeance! I do the same thing to the wife....
  11. NickTheGrip Man, no weasel hunting. I am going to miss watching you "whiff" on me. I will try to bash the Gomes for ya, ok I can't bash Pete or Artie - the bastards move around too fast!!!!! Get back soon. I might even get to play myself - wooho Well, I "whiff" on purpose & LET you guys bash me now & then, so you guys can feel better about yourselves & not get too discouraged. Although it's difficult, you CAN bash Pete & Artie - just figure out their favorite campsites & sneak up on 'em (warning, you will likely die 30-40 times trying). But I prefer easier prey like Gomer. I found my COD2 package.... and it has all the disks but the first one (&*!@%$)*!@&$%) I have COD4 and am going to load it up just to have something to play, but it just ain't the same as slappin' my COD2 buddies 'round the head.....
  12. In the unlikely event anyone cares, my old PC died a horrible death & is no longer functioning. I can't find my COD2 disks to re-load... and I am JONESING. I may have to buy a new copy, but I will if I must. So I shelled out $650 for a new tower (Gateway DX4850-27e model - about 100 times better/faster than my old Commodore Vic20 system), so now I can run about any game out there.... but I *WILL* be back on COD2 as soon as I can. Someone please bash Gomer & Ferzulo until I can get back on..... Da Weezil
  13. Both Democrats AND Republicans look like a monkey humping a football.... Urban Dictionary says..... 1. "Monkey humping a football" : Energetic action by one or a group of people with ineffective results. A metaphore for exuberant incompetance.
  14. Well, I figrured the top 4 finishers would be in there, but I'm glad Zapper got in there for us non-professional gamers. Good one Zap! *respect*
  15. BudSr Malificent Well The Boobie Patrol and the Admin Hack Team won tonight.... Lemme know when you all can play. well mal we gave it the old XI try but like i have said and will say it again. the old XI is gone, the new XI has no idea what fun is, they just wana bitch about who did what wrong and have no balls. sorry but it is true. thanks for the try mal. when these girls grow balls let me know. i will be there.. Well that's a condescending, insulting, and divisive thing to say.... I like the "new" XI just FINE, and I have been playing here for a few years. What on Earth are you talking about? Mal politely and specifically requested no more DRAMA.... IMHO you aren't respecting that request.
  16. PimpedOutPete Excellent video Carter. For anyone who is not an admin and u suspect a hack. You get video as Carter did and u post it. Awesome job, that's how it's done my friend. Agreed. Excellent Carter, we appreciate your your help! Hey Admins, is there a medal for busting hackers? Like a "COPS" medal? If so, my boy Carter deserves one.
  17. While the special effects are jonesy by today's standards, the first 2 Star Wars movies (A New Hope & The Empire Strikes Back) are classic, textbook, cinema. Lucas kinda started selling out with the Ewoks on the third one, and the last 3 epsiodes, while having great special effects, seem more geared toward selling merchandise than telling a great story. To be honest, "Jar Jar Binks" absolutely RUINED the last 3 for me. And as far as Harrison Ford's 'Han Solo' character - one of the greatest movie characters ever. Imagine Indiana Jones in space. Throw in James Earl Jone's 'Darth Vader' voice and excellent writing/ storyline/ cinematography - they are definitely worth seeing. Especially the first two, before merchandising became more important than story-telling. "I find your lack of faith disturbing":
  18. CptCanada Nope..... too many damn Canadians here already.... go away. Just kiddin' bro. I think you'd fit in very well. Good, aggressive player with a positive attitude & moves around maps. Hope it works out.... Thumbs up from the ferret!
  19. Malificent cbags Im going to try to get on tonight. If I do I will get on teamspeak also. I hope so too! Give those children of yours some nyquil....teehee! We hafta get the maps picked!!!!!! Actually, Actifed works as well (if not better) than Nyquil... NOT that I would know Yes, please do let us know which maps are involved as soon as you can... that is a *huge* consideration. Knowing the maps is arguably as important as game-skillz. To be fair to everyone playing - maybe older, more familiar maps (or stock maps) might be best. Just leave the Area 51 shotty range & reload speed settings where they are now Just a weasel's opinion.... Ferret
  20. You hit the nail on the head, Ape. But you're certainly not alone. There are a couple hundred million people in the U.S. that feel the EXACT same way. As hard as it is for me to admit... the U.S. gov't now IS among the most corrupt on Earth. But it is NOT "the system" that is corrupt.... it is the grinning, lying politicians. I'd guess about 5-10% of our elected "representatives TRULY represent their constituents' will - the rest are there for the huge $$MONEY$$ and power. Funny - despite the relaitvely *paltry* salary they make as Congressmen/politicians -how so many grinning politicians have opulent mansions, fleets of cars, private Learjets, mulitple vacation homes, take EXTRAVAGENT vacations, enroll THEIR kids in exclusive private schools, and *somehow* end up with with sweetheart, *high yield* investments and grotesquely profitable real estate deals - that make them rich for life. After only one or two terms. To be frank, America is a victim of it's own success. Our "poorest" children are generally obese, get free lunches, free education, free housing, only have 6 games for their XBOX, one computer, thier parents only have one 40" flatscreen TV, 2 cell-phones, 2 cars, and pay no income taxes whatsoever. The RICHEST people in most other countries, would LOVE to have all those things.... poor Americans are "rich" compared to the "wealthy" people in most other countries. When foreign workers will GLEEFULLY work twice as hard - for half the moeny... just GUESS what is going to happen to our jobs & economy. Well, open your eyes & you can see it happening NOW. We are spoiled rotten, and few of us have actually EARNED or SACRIFICED, to have all that we have. But nature has a way of correcting these things. I hate saying it, but America is due for hard times. Our debt crisis is VERY serious, and our status as "the richest nation" IS going to end soon. We have given our politicians (leaders" - *gag*) a pass to abuse the system, and spend money WE DON'T HAVE, to buy votes and get re-elected. Few decent people run for elected office anymore. The media will viciously attack & slander those that have a different opinion than they do. True of BOTH sides. The media has evolved into ratings-based partisan hacks, and there are few (if any) TRULY "objective" sources of information still exist. I only have 2 suggestions: 1. Invest what you can, in commodity-based investments. Avoid dollar-based investments. The U.S. dollar, as a currency, is imploding and within the next few years, is going to bottom out. Buy gold, precious metals (silver especially), food-based commodities, and energy. Don't listen to radio commercials, do what the most successful & educated investors are doing... which is listed above. Don't count on the dollar - it is rolling towards a cliff. 2. Vote INDEPENDENT. Both the Republican & Democrat parties are corrupted garbage. They do what is best for themselves, screw the peoples' interests. The sooner we can evolve from the restrictive two-party system, the better. As of now, we have a choice of only black or white... when are problems (and the solutions) are grey. We have only a choice of "all or nothing" - when we just want SOME. Break the chokehold. Vote third (or 4th or 5th) party. Liberal, conservative, moderate - whatever. Doesn't matter. Just break this corrupted two-party system, or the same will continue. We need fresh blood, fresh ideas, and less temptation for those elected into office. *ALL* great empires of throughout history, the Roman Empire, British, Byzantian, French, Spanish, Mongol, Ming, Russian, etc., etc. - were NOT defeated by outside forces... they destroyed themselves from within. ANY decent sports coach will tell you - that the minute you get satisfied, complacent, and lazy - someone with more drive & desire will steal your success from you and "take the title". I just hope it isn't already too late. It is up to the people/ voters, now. But I'm not confident that enough people see that clearly enough, to avoid disaster. And any lazy-ass that doesn't care enough to research/learn/educate themsleves/VOTE - then I don't want to hear ya whining like a bitch, when the shit hits the fan. Rant over. Weezil
  21. Gonna get some practice in on Area 51.... so watch your backs & get ready for my sniper shotty
  22. *eyes burning* Where on Earth do you guys find this stuff ?!?! No no - don't tell me - I don't EVEN wanna know....
  23. crackxi i see what u r sayin but what i remember is the police killin people for tryin to cross a bridge etc. hell i wouldnt be stayin in no line under those measures...we turned on ourselves cause for days there was no help THNX BUSH! AND THE MEDIA! i remember them showin white people looting then sayin they were tryin to survive...but the blacks were criminals when they were looting... caused a inner race war.. man i feel for anyone who went through it..was a very sad time indeed ...all those who loss there lives in the dome...we didnt have america helpin like they help in other countries (which still makes no sense to me)im just glad my family is ok and i wish the best for the japanese and anyone here who has friends or family there....u know its fucked up when japan actually takes help. THEY BETTA BE TALKIN TO RUSSIA AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE! the russians can help a great deal. Yep, it was Bush's fault that hundreds of thousands IGNORED evacuation orders given, 3 days before Katrina hit. He was personally looting stores. Bush asked Gov. Landrieu two days before Katrina made landfall, to activate the LA Nat'l Guard - which she promptly did several hours AFTER the levees broke. And don't even get me started on "Mayor Nagin". The Federal Gov't (including the President) has limited Constitutional powers, as to what they can & can't do fin and for individual states - without a full Declaration of War approved by Congress. The President can NOT *Constitutionally* take action or intercede on a state's behalf.... the Fed can't even call for a "State of Emergency", until the involved state itself, does. That's the law. Had Bush done more, he would have literally broken the law - and I can only imagine what Bush-haters would have said about THAT. Point is, Katrina was no more Bush's fault - than the Gulf Oil Spill was Obama's fault - regardless of partisans' desire to bludgeon them with it, and blame them for the actions/ lack of actions by others. However, I do agree that the media hyped it up & caused more damage than it helped. FoxNews & MSNBC alike, were "on the scene" making up stuff as they went, to keep those viewers glued to their channels & commercial $$$ rolling in. I worked for Denso (a Japanese affiliate of Toyota) with many Japanese transplants. While they are certainly bears at work - they are generally very kind & *honorable* folks on a personal level. It does not surprise me AT ALL, that they reacted with much more class & integrity that we spoiled Americans would. The only bad thing about the Japanese I have met are, they are about 200 years behind us, as far as women's rights. They are some hard-working, honorable people, but sexist as alll get-out. I have a feeling that after all is said & done, Japan will show how much more civil & classy of a society they are, than my beloved America is. Sad to say, but true. IMHO
  24. Teleck the homefront website has a time line of the story of the game...makes ya wanna kill korens. dont know if thats healthy. but it seems to be a cool game Yep, part of the story time-line is: "- 2021: Korean forces succeed in annexing many countries in Southeast Asia. A new pandemic known as the "Knoxville Cough", a type of bird flu, begins to spread in the United States. " Well, I live in Knoxville, and the only "cough" here is caused by a 7-leafed plant, not birds. It looks cool, but I'll wait for reviews, see how the PC platform performs, & see if Kaos (the manufacturer) supports the game better than Activision does theirs. Weezil
  25. Damn you.... this friggin' song is stuck in my head now. "I was bangin' 7 gram rocks, that's how I roll, WINNING!!!" Damnit.
