WHITEBOY Good lookin Chute! When the hell are you gonna ask for an app..? I'm sure it won't take much to have the Baddest Fucking Tags >XI< behind your name!!! Your on the server daily, and a daaam fun run-n-gunner to play with! I'd back that up. Played many hours with Chute, as far as I know no problems. He's a good player with a good attitude. One of my favorite targets, I'd like to see some XI tags on there, if he wants 'em.

Dark Asylumn there is nothing better than seeing a trip kill of ferret right after he smacks me round the head, the boom tick, you killed ferret. ohhh its so worth the bash if it gets him lol. and from what I have seen sassy you are just as sneaky as this little weasel here. Basically, my game strategy is to sprint from spot to spot looking for campers. Trip wires on COD2 are basicaly the same as claymores on COD4. They are a nuisance, they are "no-skill kills"..... and embarrasingly effective at killing weasels. As far as you, Bart... I WILL bite the hand that feeds me...

I get the feeling that you are like me, you've had such a positive experience with XI & COD2, that you want more. I have only played the COD4 ACE server for about a week, but seems like good peeps on there, too. In NO WAY does that mean we are "abandoning" COD2... Although I have never met any of them in person - I feel like I have made some real "friends" on the COD2 servers.... Gomer, Bart, Pete, Laszlo, Logan, Killer, Paper, Spanky, Ferzy, RIP, Painsponge, Kaze, Chute, Nick, VanHelsing, Radar, etc., etc. - too many more to list. Between wife, kids, work, family obligations, & all - I don't have the time to hang out or time for a "real" social life anymore (lol), so I find my buddies & stress relief online with the XI crew. That may sound sad to some, but I'm happy with it! It fits into my life perfectly, and you can NEVER have enough friends. I'm just looking to make more new XI buddies. On the few occasions I have had computer problems or needed advice, I usually get TOO MUCH help & advice. And THAT my friends, is a *good* problem to have. BTW, 5 days playin' on the ACE mod, #3 on the Knife-Kill stats already, hopefully that will improve. Tryin' to hold down the fort for ya 'til you get back on, Bigmeandean.... hurry back, can't wait to sling steel with ya. WTF!!!!! Weasel!!! I'm a gonna have to send you over to the Mink farm for not even mentioning me in your list. I see where I stand.... Artimus I only listed the people that I recently cracked on the skull.... haven't seen you on for a while, we miss you. Seems to me that it is pretty damn good the way it is now. To me, the point of XI..... is having fun and gaming with friends - not getting angry that someone "less skilled" than you, gets a kill or two on you. I have enough drama & strife in my everyday life... XI is my ESCAPE from pressure, stress, & drama - NOT the source of it. Lighten up, drink a beer, smoke a bowl, or whatever you do to relax.... just chill out and enjoy each other's company. If an un-skilled noobie (like me) gets a knife-slice or "noob tube" kill on you - just take it like a man and say "good one, now I keel you". It's not like we are professionals that get paid based on kill ratios.... it's supposed to be for FUN. Seems like I've eaten a lot of spawn nades & spawn-kills from the same guys that bitch about "noobs with tubes" - what's the real difference? A cheap kill is a cheap kill, whether by noobs or by pro's. Just depends how much you really care about such trivial things. Don't get mad about it... GET EVEN. If your skills are really that much better, it WILL show in the end. But ultimately, as long as you have fun with friends... who cares what the hell the scores are or who finishes first?

Hey guys, I've been playin' the XI COD2 servers for a couple years (most the guys there know me pretty well), finally joined XI around last Xmas, and just recently got a machine that will run COD4. Startin' to play 4 a little more, Paperman kinda got me into it, thought I'd intro myself... My name is Steve, 42 yrs old, live in Knoxville TN, been gaming since Doom. I work driving a cubicle as a Purchasing Asst. Manager, Bachelor's degree in Economics, starting M.B.A. classes in August. But I'm a southerner/ country boy at heart. Married (the wife's nickname is "the Nag-o-matic 3000"), 2 young kids I'm pretty sure are mine. Family, work, fishin', a little huntin', a little drinkin', college football (no pro junk on my TV), and Call of Duty - pretty much sums up my life. As you may notice as we play together more.... I LIKE that knife. I kinda focus on bashing in COD2 (just a little), and will focus on slicing in COD4. In COD2 XI servers, when you bash someone, there is a graphic on the victim's screen "You got slapped 'round the head". But I've noticed on the XI ACE 4 server, the victim hears "DIE BITCH". Now THAT gives me a stiffy. I know there are a couple expert slicers on COD4 XI servers (I hear bigmeandean can filet your ass), and I hope to become one of them. I don't care so much about high score/ ratios & all... boooring... the name of the game is humiliation of the enemy. (but in a friendly way) Anywho, you'll probably PWN the hell out of me for a while (like you have the last couple days, lol), but I'm learning the maps & keys, and getting the knife timing down better with every map. I'm liking COD4 better all the time, I'm starting to get used to it and (work & study time allowing) will get a few more hours on. I appreciate you guys letting me play against on ya on the Ace server. Gonna try the FT servers when I get the feel of COD4 better. I play clean & obey the rules, and insist that others do too. Isn't there a mod where loud farting sounds & green gas appears around campers, after a couple minutes? It would work like the indicator, and would be funny as hell.

Can someone tell me where the Hades COD2 map files are kept in Windows 7? I had no problem deleting the old maps in Windows XP, but since loading up Windows 7, I can't find the map files to delete (I do have "show hidden files" turned on). I was having no probs until I went over to the CTF server (which those games were rockin'), but now I can't get back onto the DM server, and can't find the "impure client" map files. I would really like to play both servers, but I can't for the life of me find the .iwd files to delete like I did in XP. Help!!!!

john tams Ferret I had the same prob with the mike with win 7, Just go into the game settings and enable it manually. (on xp I think it is set default already) Hope it helps. JT Yeah, finally got it working. Still getting used to Windows 7, it is pretty different from XP, but I like it so far. I figured out the front mic plug just won't work no matter what I do, but the rear plug worked fine after I re-set everything & manually configured the mic with Windows Live setup. It would be a SHAME to deprive you all of my sexy James Earl Jones/ Johnny Cash voice in game. Now the only thing is, every time I start up COD2 the screen is dark as hell, but when I go into Options/ Graphics - if I move the brightness slide even one pixel, it instantly pops back to regular brightness. Not a big issue, but I have to do it every time I start COD2. Oh well, could be worse I reckon. Thanks for the recommendations though, fellas...
