I have uninstalled pb and reinstalled. I have deleted all pb files and updated. I have reset my routor and my modem. I can play any other cod game even black ops with no problems. this just started today and i have no clue how to fix it. can someone please help. the sad part is it only happens on the XI servers. (In CoD4MW folder) Then I got me the newest version downloaded at http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=dl-cod4.php and then updated 2x and it worked. I manage to fix it First try with disabling your antivirus guard protection before connecting, it works for her. Then if it work in our case we use AVIRA ANTIVIR and in the setting, switch to expert mode then - guard --- Scan --- --- Exceptions then click on "..." and choose the 2 files pnkbstrA.exe and pnkbstrB.exe from c:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 (once at the time) and click ADD. It tells the antivirus to not check these processes and avoid the "loosing key packets error" This should fix the problem. anyway this error is due to a loss of packets between computer and server so any programs that can check the connection could be the reason, if it's not the antivirus it could be a firewall.
