Okay peeps I need  some suggesstions for things i can cook  on my oneburner camp stove. i am up for trying many things but remember the ingrredients must not need refrigeration.  So far i have cooked soups with canned chicken and tuna in them. tonite i did something that sounded good but was pretty sweet. i bought some white chocolate chips and i took some sourdough bread and put strawberry prreserves and sprinkled the white chocolate chips on it and added another slice of bread and grilled it. alll in allwas good just put to much white choc chips on. too sweet. i am very short on money but do have a food card so when you suggest things keep in mind i am on a tight budget. tho your ideas are all welcome. they will give me variety to my diet. thnx friends!!!

if you've only got one burner u can still do pasta or rice dishes with a tomato sauce. cook pasta or rice first then add to sauce u make. onion garlic tin of tomatoes plus any veg u want for sauce. add ur canned chicken or cut up bits of hotdog for a cheap non-refrigerated meat. alternatively instead of pasta use lentils, beans or small pieces of potato in ur sauce plus veg (courgette bell pepper kind of veg)  to make it a one dish. if u have spices (e.g chili powder, paprika or cumin coriander for indian feel) this adds variety to the different base sauce u make. add the spices 3-5 mins after vegetables for 2 mins then add tin tomato n cook for 15-20 mins n ur done. doesnt use up too much gas as u cook on low. the sauce should reduce and the lentils or potato cooked enuff. dont forget ur salt n pepper. hope this is an ok suggestion n u like it. pls let me know.
