the other program that you tried. when you got rid of it, did you uninstall it or just delete it? if you just deleted it, then it still has stuff in the registry, and that could be the problem.

try this , the web page is in french, but you can install software in english

http://www.01net.com...ches/37721.html

and it's an open source software, this is a good program but be careful how you install it! Avoid driving next next ... The install program like the default toolbars and change the browser. To avoid problems of spam, advertising and choose Custom installation (uncheck the boxes!) And not the recommended installation!!!!. We obtain a functional program with which I have never had any difficulty

Try uninstalling nero and run CCleaner http://majorgeeks.co...dard_d5125.html

Note: when you install CCleaner uncheck the bottom 3 of the five boxes in the options when installing. Also uncheck to install google chrome. When you run it by default the top tab to the left, Check the 13 of 14 boxes on the bottom. I never check wipe free space as this takes forever. Run cleaner... Dont forget to click the second tab/icon on the left (registry) scan for issues then fixed selected. I ALWAYS make the backup when prompted if it seems like alot of stuff will be removed. I have never had to go back to the backup or know how to.

Then third tab/icon on the left tools to see if that program is still in there somewhere. If you see it uninstall it.

then restart, then reinstall nero. I use nero all the time....luv it...hope this helps...

If you are using XP you have to go to control panel, folder options... to choose a default program for a DVD....just a note...

i found it out. here is what to do...

Find the file extension in question under the

*HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts*

key in the registry. Deleting the sub-key with the same name as the extension you want to un-associate will delete the default program association. You'll have to kill and restart explorer.exe for this to take effect.
