think ma card is taking a dump the fan is spinning but when i increase the fan speed it revs up then slows down agin there is no dust in it what so ever played bf3 for 10 mins or so then comp shuts down as its over heating i think as the card is hot its a nvidea 550 ti any ideas any 1??

sounds like a fan is on the way out

 

is this still in warranty?  if not remove heat sink and re paste it and replace fan, if can't just use a  house fan on  

gpu
