Well guys Microsoft have released Windows 8.1 - When you upgrade you will have to deal with punkbuster else you will face some issues with service restrictions.

Once you have upgraded through the Windows 8 Store you need to update punkbuster and then do a recheck using the software attached in the zip file !

If you don't do this the servers will kick you straight off !

Happy killing !

It is worth doing the patch? Does the start button added make it less of a piece of shit OS than it already is?

I have on games on mine so that wont be an issues.

I like Windows 8 - Windows 8.1 is a bit more non touch friendly.  All my computers are touch so its really fab.

I did the upgrade last night. I used 8 as my video and other editing and other things but not games. So this nice upgrade gave me a cute little start icon and when you click it goes to the tile crap. The tile crap now you can label the section.. which I guess is cool but I end up putting all the icons I use on the desktop. I hate searching to crap on in that tile mode. The only thing I see good about the start button is right click and get options like Programs and Features, shut down and other.

Win8 is for sure faster to boot and shut down than 7 and is faster over it seems. Just hate the way you have to navigate for crap and really hate software is not compatible. Really? It's 2013 and you still cant make shit compatible to the last OS? All marketing to get you to purchase new software.
