This problem is not for me specifically. My friend is trying to reinstall Crysis wars on his PC (windows xp) and everytime he puts the disc in he gets about 5-10 seconds of wait time then a "Fatal Error" message pops up. There is no error code or reason its saying why there is a fatal error. Have any of you come across this before? Im out of ideas on what to do with it. ( We have tried re installing multiple times and tried copying over files straight from disc), Thanks::

Pyro.

I have never had that happen. Almost sounds like a memory problem. Have him run memtest....http://www.memtest.org/

We ran the memtest program and didn't find anything wrong. Is it possible that the disc has a limit on how many times it can be reinstalled?

Is it a bluescreen?

Please provide us with more information about the System.
Is it a fresh Windows XP installation?  (with Service Pack 3?)

Did he play the game before on this PC?

I couldn't find any information with google. Only some "fatal errors" regarding Far Cry or Microsfoft .NET Framework 4.0.
Maybe the Microsoft Installer (MSI) is damaged.

Yes has played Crysis Wars on his PC in the past. I belive its Service pack 2 of XP, He got the computer about 5 years ago. There is no blue screen occuring either. He told me that he went through the Registry and deleted all the crysis wars files. Could that be whats causing this?

Yeap and let him run CCleaner to see if he can fix stuff in the registry.

If the disk is corrupt, try this: http://www.gamershell.com/download_43204.shtml

FIXED

He did a full restore on his PC and found turned out there was also a bug in his system that wasn't allowing him to update his virus detection which caused his system to not recognize it. Everything is working smooth now and he has crysis wars back on his PC, Thanks for the replies guys.
