Yeah   I have been having problems with this card from day 1  its mostly the nvidia software that doesnt like 64bit  second 64bit comp I had problems with running nvidia.  the new glitching was proceded with video error shut downs, so going by everything that has led up to the squares I have to say it is the very cheap card  (its the bottom of the line) I am pretty sure that the software issues have really taxed the already crappy card)

I dont know what your budget is but some great low priced ATi are there new.

Even the 4650/5xxx can be nice but just your budget will decide.

Ahh, I see.  As posted above, there are some good cards out there that wont drain your wallet.

Compare that with a Sapphire 5770 (plus dx10) and same price:

yes the 5770 is an ok card but does run dx11  the 4879 saphire is a higher end card that only does dx10.1 I have no need for dx11 so I would rather get a more workable card  can handle over clocking more and farther. I had same discussion with dread about why I should choose the 4870 over the 5770. and when he explained to me that I could push the 4870 harder I had to agree

I have never overclocked one but if you can push it hard with overclocking with no problems then I know running it at stock it is gonna be smooth as butter.

I got 2 7600 GT's SLI ( 4 years old and running strong), I have no reason to OC them, especially with COD2. I did have some issues but it was Direct x related. I still cant believe I paid over $700 for the pair back then.

Best bang for your buck on the planet atm ... Read DDR 5 .

We have 2 of these in the rig we use to crunch through digital satalite imagery ---I use just one on the rig I usually play Cod and other fps shooters ---I cant recall ever going below 100 fps on any map all settings maxed.(Science tells us the human eye without enhancement can only detect 80 -90 fps shrug... anything above that is gravy .)
