I generated a new world in FTB to see if we have less world generation issues at all with a map created in an older version of MC. We will allow players to setup or move to the new world.We are thinking we want to use the new world as the primary. Feel free to setup shop there. Let me know what you think!

 

Commands needed:

 

/mv tp new_world

 

our regular world is 

 

/mv tp world

 

If we do decide to move to the new world permanently I will make it the default and provide some force wrenches to move inventories :D

Is there any way to add launch variables??  I found this recommendation to reduce lag.. The RAM variable would need changed, but maybe it could help. If you watch in in youtube, the description has a text version I believe.

Thanks bro, I will look into it. We have also been looking at what mods we can trim out as well. One of the main reasons we are considering a new world is that there is a known issue in 1.6.x that the world is almost entirely ocean. Nothing can be done about that. The only solution is to generate a world in an older version of Feed the beast and import it. The world I loaded in earlier looks like it does not have some of the mods that we really like, such as fortresses and other random dungeon spawns. So we are still working on our "new world"

I need some help please, i was trying to get to spawn but was taken to a new world where im now stuck and not able to get back to the old world, i have no permisons to do anything, the only permision i have is starve to death.
