That's sad but true. I used to do that to my son when I grounded him. I would pull the power cords from all of his electronic toys and take them away for a couple weeks. By the end of his grounding he was a nut case.

Yep, tough to turn on the PC or play station without a power cord.  I remember getting grounded and wasn't able to go out and play with friends.  The age of technology with all the advancements still manages to push us backwards in some areas.

I did something similar I went to the electrical panel and pulled the breaker that fed his room with electricity . . . this taught him how many things take electricity and how important it is to everyday life.

1 week would be a long time without power so I gave him the early "buy out option" of paying that months electricity bill.  ( when he decided to pay the electricity bill I took the money and put it in a savings account that I returned to him when he graduated from high school)
