Decided to run them again and it uninstalled most of my Steam games, Windows Media 12 (?) run, regedit and command prompt. I assume it did this to make my computer faster...I thought I had backed up my computer before this...but I think jv16 deleted that also in the name of speed. So...I need to repair my Win 7 Pro. Everything I see online requires a installation disk...not really sure where mine is...thought about downgrading to Windows 8.1 but not sure if it will support 32 gigs of memory. My specs are in my signature... Any thoughts?? jn

Have you checked? Check it out and see when the last restore point was, you may be able to get it all back to where it was. Awards

Never ever use programs like that. they will fuck your computer in the ass. this is an iso fro windows 7 pro 64 bit edition. http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-24281.iso I am assuming you do have a license key for it. download it there and then use this program. to mount the iso to a usb drive http://wudt.codeplex.com/ I would recommend just doing a fresh install. make sure to download your drivers before, specifically your network driver. You are one of those users that know just enough to fuck everything up on your machine (no offense). Always be weary of system booster/reg cleaners/performance enhancing applications. Downgrading to 8.1?? If you talk to anyone who's been in the IT industry for a while, you will find that 8.1 is actually pretty good; but you have to be able to accept a bit of change. My advice would be to reload; whether it be Win7 or Win 8.1. And next time, setup restore points... gl hf

You don't have to have the CD, it is the key that matters. You can get the ISO from anywhere, you just need to know what exactly you had and you can always do a repair or upgrade install. You could also do a clean install once you have an ISO. M$ also has a USB Drive create tool that will make a bootable USB drive to do repairs and installs much faster.
