I was playing on the hc server earlier this morning and it hit me. What if we were to combine part of Counter-Strike gameplay (killing enemy team to get money and new weapons/etc) into the hardcore server?

It seems like it would fit well into the mode as opposed to picking up weapons off the ground.

What do you all think?

I've kind of wanted something like this.I dont know if we can have no respawn until round ends without major modification. We can, and do, have weapon buying and cash systems, but they are not great. We could have CSS Gun Game, where you get better weapons as you get kills. No money though.

i was thinking it would be cool if we could use the menu to buy weapons from power struggle,but cob said it couldn't happen.

gungame shouldnt be a problem

I think you should be able to edit your own post. I think they were talking about Crysis Hardcore server. Not a problem though we are all Idiots here....its ok:-)

I dont think a power struggle map will work. Not really enough players. sorry Also I edit most maps there and I remove alot of the weapons to eliminate camping. Some of the larger maps though all the weapons have been left in just to mix it up a little. Thanks for the suggestion and keep em comming!

I agree with you about the maps, what i wanted to do was have the power struggle weapon menu combined into the IA maps

There is a map called Barrak (I think) that has computers around with a use button on it. When you use it you get a weapon..(sub-machine gun). That might work.

By server-mod you can give out weapons to players by their killstreak, 3 kills gets extra shotgun ammo, 5 kills gets extra pistol ammo, etc....

I like Coby's credit system before in RP- you could reward long-time play and give awards in the form of weapons.

Instead of streaks, is there any way to award for other things (special kills, many headshots, etc.)?

 

I wouldn't mind automatically getting awarded weapons, but the double pistol in hardcore isn't too useful (no crosshairs)

Cool stuff guys.

I hope Patriot kicks off better 'step by step' and we have all have to smooth out the Patriot servers right now.

 

We have some things to know:

 

Very crappy Area 69 hardware server. As in hardware and if we want to just delete a folder, we have to ask gameservers.

Patriot and Phoenix can mess up some maps.

Area 69 can run over 7 to 12days+ but depends on maps.

 

Know that Crysis 1 could only handle 14 Custom maps and that was it.

 

Please ask or PM Sitting-duc for more info :)

He can tell you more about the ServerSideMod and issues.

 

Step by Step and we get there!

 

Mods/options added or more fun to come. The game is so much better after release even after OpenHouses :)

Heard that the guys will update the serversidemod to version: Patriot version V and might be the final release. That might take out some bugs and a more and better stable server :)
