I need help, I have Mac Pro Tower early 2008 and the microphone does not work when I use the two inputs behind the tower, I've tried everything, you guys think it only works with USB connection, please help me, thank you. (I'M NOT TALK ABOUT LAPTOP)

How about the headphones port on the front (that is where they should plug in)?

Thank you for your feedback YACCester, 

you say at the front entrance that it would be for headphone, it does not work and I even tried to enter the configuration of the midi setup for the audio and it did not change the frequency and everything and it does not work at all, I'll return and I already bought another one with USB connection , maybe it will work, I'll tell you later if it will work, thank you very much. Just in case if you find any solution let me know please.
