Groups and Artists that never quite made it in popularity

For Streetcleaner, Mike B etc there have been many great groups and artists I have heard throughout the years, exceptionally talented with great music who for some reason never grabbed the limelight like say U2 (God knows why?), I have listed a few I think were great, with their rough genre and an album worth listening to, who would you say were great but never stars?

Beirut, you'll hate them first listen on the third you'll be hooked, try 'The Flying Club Cup'

Danny Bryant try 'covering their tracks' great guitarist like Walter Trout

Rob Lamothe, very underrated musician 'Above the Wing is Heaven'

Rev Brown, blues at its best try 'Barein change'

The Answer, as near to Zepplin as you'll get, try 'Never too late'
