I have stopped visiting sites where I have the possibility of picking up a virus. About 3 or 4 days ago I began to get a warning I have a trojan or something to that effect. It's been so long since this has happened that I think that it's a fake. Yet my memory is so bad about the proper procedures to check I need help. I used to know this stuff like the back of my hand lol. Okay, let's start from the beginning. I was on Facebook or should I say scambook and I saw something about somebody who had passed away. Like a celebrity. I clicked it and immediately it attacked. I have gotten so many of these before I just shut it down and restarted and it was gone just like usual. A short time later I started getting messages that said my subscription was out and I needed to order an up-to-date for protection. Well, People I only use Windows Defender so I haven't had any other virus protection for 7 yrs with no problems. I then went to Windows Defender and ran it and it says I am clean yet this dumb ass so-called virus is supposedly still trying to steal my barely there money. I just wanna know what tool do I need and where can I get it to root this damned fucker off my machine? I would be ever so indebted to who ever. Oh by the way Penguin you sure do look suave there in that pix that Piglo has of you!
 Awards

Link to Free Version What subscription is it telling you to Update? Norton Power Eraser is also free, Read Power Eraser review, and clicking on the "See it" button to go to Norton's d/l page. Hope this helps. Edited February 12 by CW4 BUDMAN and YACCster
 Awards

Reading this Dean is like someone saying they owned a car for 5 years and now they decided to start changing the oil. The damage to that OS is done. You can try and remove it with scanners and such or you can do the right thing and reinstall your OS. Then Scan any data before restoring it.
