Recently got BF4, tried a World Batl and enjoyed it.
 
Some ppl will choose to not be involved. It's their choice. Events like this can be competitive and have to be co-ordinated.
 
People have chosen to join XI and play in XI servers for the exact opposite reasons. Just the way it is.
 
People do not like to commit to something in case other priorities come along, which they might.
 
Create an event that suits US times. EU does not seem too concerned in general. Late night Saturday or Sunday EU time I think would be fine for any potential EU members.
 
 
Before the event head into the other channel, let them know there is an event starting soon and post a link. If they can't commit for 2 hours and are dropping in and out of the main BF4 channel then so be it.
 
I will try and make it for the next time.
 
Remember you can create polls so can directly figure out what are the best times. Am or PM, Sat or Sun.
 
Will try and keep this movement going as I enjoy the format. Thank you for your hard work in this.

Correct. Apart from network lag, there are localized lag injections to be considered. CPU, GPU Rendering (negligible), Display input lag (ms) + Screen Refresh. In BF4 I noticed that when my CPU is OC'ed to 4.0Ghz. The number 2 seconds is very high, the localized lag would be in milliseconds  and anything totaling over 100ms would be a serious disadvantage to the player. Add network lag on top of it, and I mean the connection interrupts not the ping to the server itself. 
 
An average 60Hz monitor refreshes the screen 60 times per second that means your screen image is refreshed every 16.67ms. If your screen refresh rate is 5ms. This 5ms is the time it takes for all the pixels to be updated with the new bitmap. Add this to the 16.67ms and then the actual time it takes to display a new bitmap on your screen is 21.67ms. This does not take in to account the input lag, your GPU sends the updated image to your monitor but the monitor needs time to process and do the above mentioned actions. The time to do this processing may be in parallel to the screen image update time. For the fastest TN panel its around 7-8ms. Believe it or not this difference in msecs adds up and makes all the difference in "I got shot before I could even see them."

On a separate note, studying one's game play gives you insight and you can predict their movements. It's very fun to do.

I am certain I will get a lot of flak from all across the spectrum for saying what I am about to say. I think we have too many people whining and complaining about all sorts of things in the game. Before I even list the issues I am guilty of doing the same but I think it ruins the game play and it should change as it creates an unhealthy environment. To be clear, I am speaking specifically about the in-game chat.
 
It is understood and normal to be upset when you get shot. It is equally important that instead of trying to blame this on something you accept it as a reality of the game and keep playing. Raging is amateur and childish. There is a very clear distinction between trash-talking banter for amusement vs just "bitching". Actually, a second thought its not so obvious to everyone. 
 
Lag
Fair enough, but deal with it you cannot fix it by complaining.
 
CIs 
Fair and known issue, again not much you can do in-game
 
Blown up by car
Typical responses "w/e", "bs" - I am sure you feel different when you do that to others.
 
Camping
It's part of the game, it sucks to be shot by someone who does not move much but it is fair. You can do the same if you like. Fuck you Nighto/Monika. 
 
Hacking 
This one comes in all shapes and sizes, however, I would like to state a few things.
 
-  High kills low death count does not implicitly mean someone is hacking.
Explanation: You find a good spot to camp, where its hard for people to get to you and you pick them off. Some notable players who are good at finding spots in maps Nighto, @@GoOney, @@Ripper, @@iFlysoHi etc. It is one example of achieving a very high KDR. In this game people generally rush and that's why you get shot so often, you've to be strategic with your movement. 
 
- Where did I get shot from?
Explanation: It happens to me a lot especially from players like Mexican, @@GoOney, @@ReaPeR, sometimes even from unusual offenders. M16A is a very powerful and accurate weapon. All anyone has to do is get one good shot on you (pixel) and then hide real quick before you show up in your bubble. If they have the Dead Silence perk, it tends to hide the flash from the bullet, that's my working theory. In this way, you have no idea where the bullet came from and the best you can do is make approximations from the bullet sound direction right before you died. Not everyone is very good at figuring it out and not everyone gets it right all the time either.
 
- How did you know I was there?
Explanation: Your mother told me, j/k. This one I think reflects badly on the one complaining than the one who got the kill. It just speaks to the lack of situational awareness you have in-game. The only two people who baffle me some times are 'kilmaley' & '@@TaGg3r'. How people usually know is by sound, and your ability to tell direction from virtual surround. This is mostly true for Urban maps. A few other things to consider are, shadows, teammates looking at you, hardwired, intel, UAV, and seeing someone run up in there.
 
- I was invisible how were you following me?
Explanation: You may be running in your spawn protection but unless you're using Dead Silence perk you are making a sound. Pro-mod players have fine tuned ears for sound tracking. It's just as real as cow dung itself. I am personally not that good with sound so I am not really able to track any invisible person. If I get a shield by shooting in clear space I keep hip-fire spamming until they appear. It works 1 out of 100 times for me, mostly I just run out of ammo.
 
- How can you see thru smoke/grass etc?
Explanation:
Smoke, well, when the smoke is new or dying off, your shadowy figure may appear. Other times, people spam in the general direction of the last know location. Also, random shots contribute to this too.
 
As far as trees go, this puzzled me too. I often get shot from someone while I am buried in grass or behind thick tree leaves. I have not figured out the tree leaves part yet. IMO hacking or unfair advantage claims may be legit, I have no proof though. I actually got kicked by Punkbuster while trying to find proof. (Murphy you remember when I got kicked for lodscalerigid?  that's what that was)
 
For the grass I found out that your graphics card's rendering process and available VRAM has a lot to do with it. On NVidia graphics cards, it doesn't render the entire effects of the field on a very large shrubbery map. So if you're lying prone in open grass, someone on the other side of the map will see lying on flat in open ground. Just to find proof, I bought a GTX760 and tested it. My actual GFX card is AMD 270x.
 
 
There may be other issues/concerns that I may have missed, please post back and I will try to best explain it as I understand. The whole point to this post is that the moment someone starts getting shot a few times by the same player, they tend to judge on their expectation of how things ought to be. There are people who do fishy things on our server no doubt, and we should be vigilant to ensure an enjoyable gaming environment. At the same time, this whole culture of complaining and calling people hackers, apart from when you mean it as a compliment, has created an unhealthy server.  
 
Just because someone is doing better than you, does not mean its impossible to be that good with legit ways. Flooding admins with complaints about things that can be logically explained just creates a frustrating atmosphere. Some people are competitive in game and they try their best to be on top, others like @@Unchileno do it for the sake of pure enjoyment. 
 
Bottom line: Quit complaining, improve your game. [Yes, you have my permission to hate me for saying this, hater]
 
 
General Tip: Your weapon kit loadout, and your killstreak selection plays a big role in how well you do in a game. 
 
 
Recourse
Instead of starting a keyboard war in the game, I suggest you take it to the forums. If you suspect something fishy, go to spec, record and submit to an admin. Use the /record GameDemo command in the console, activated by ~ operator. 
 
P.S. The names  mentioned above are of people whom I have had personal experience playing with and I understand their game play.

The best-of-the-best are performers in my mind, not cheaters. There are many verified members in this clan whom score high on our servers legitimately and consistently at the top. I would assume you're not one of them? This is the case in FreezeTag and the other games we host. No matter how much I want to beat a particular player like SidTri, MercWrx or Accucats in BF4, It's not going to happen. They don't cheat, I've seen their videos. They are better, respectively so!

We here at XI, like our consistency. The servers and their configurations don't change that much. The player community is familiar. The times that players join our servers is consistent among most visitors. I see consistency in scoring at the top, middle and low ends of the spectrum, not just the top. When I visit other clans, play on their servers. I see the same consistent hierarchy on their servers that we see here. The model isn't as complex comparatively speaking to piloting an aircraft in the real world. Lets give the world it's due!

I can think of two situations that a top player would fall short in his or hers performance. Unfamiliar maps, if the good player is unfamiliar with a map, he or she will more than likely drop from top, to the middle or further. Someone cheating wouldn't have this disadvantage. In rare cases, some top players will slightly drop back due to unfamiliar gaming styles, which doesn't happen that much.

It's not about winning, it's about having fun! Get out there and get'her done!

I cannot wait for tonight's episode of game of Thrones (yes i know it was shown in the states yesterday) even though i blundered and found out what happens right up until the end of season 4....DOH!, i downloaded an interactive map so i could put places and names together and at the side of the map was all the main characters from the series and like an idiot i dipped in and could not stop reading, already seen some comments through Facebook about how people are in shock at last nights episode, think maybe what i know will happen over 2 episodes so there may well be more shocks next week (don't think i said anything to spoil it for anyone there) i just watched all of the first 3 seasons again over the last 3 weeks from Sky on demand and gotta say i enjoyed it even more because you can see why things are happening now and actually remember the characters names, so many to keep track of first time around you just cannot take it all in because of the scale of this show, this has got to go down has probably the greatest show ever made for TV, some of the acting especially from Peter Dinklage who plays Tyrion is so good it made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck, only sad thing is i go away on holiday before the last episode and will have to wait 2 weeks before i get to see it, this show is like a drug man.

Congrats to Budman for being the member of the Month for June 2014. Budman is one of the most dedicated members we have, he is always available and is always looking out for his fellow clan members. Thanks for the support over the years Budman I truly appreciate it.

The reason for it and the radiation is because people were glitching and firing from inside the bubble. I was unaware of this problem and this was the best way to take care of it. Just think of it as radioactive ice. But if the message itself is an issue I can do something to disable it but the radiation will remain. Note that the radiation doesnt damage. It just stuns you until you move away a little bit. The circle is pretty small. Then again... another solution is to simply not try to hide so close to enemy bubbles.

i really like the new mod. Problem is its always empty when i come into COD4 and ive spent a lot of time hanging out in there alone waiting for another to join but seems too not happen. I say if the new mod is to work out the other has too go. to many choices always leads to the death of one of the servers. and typically people follow the familiar so will always go to the old before the new. Shut down the old, the new will fill. People will still complain but who cares, most f the complainers are from the ones that rarely play COD4. Change would be good, lets go with the new server. (one mans opinion)
