You could say I am a profesional gamer, but the best partis the US Govnt pays me! Actuaally I am on disability and spend most of my time gaming and am almost settled into an Assisted living home where they will basically do everything I can't do for me.

I am not a vet but stories such as yours Harry infuriate me. I have an idea why don't we all call or write our reps and senator and get a movement going? I live in Washington state and don't know how to contact my reps and Senators. Would someone be so kind as to post how to get thos rolling such as who in each state to contact? I would definitely join the fight. I had the same difficulty with getting disability. I am sick of the gov mind set that unless you are a immagrant or of a certain belief that you don't deserve the benefite you desperately need!

Maybe I should wait to post this but I have been doing nothing but waiting lately. Just when it seemed I was about to be settled I had a couple more set backs. The interestesting thing is when my daughter found this hotel I am in at the moment she wasn't awae the one place I really wanted to get into was a place called the Everett Plaza. My hotel is only one block away from there. I never thougght I had a chance in hell of ever getting into thee as they haven a age limit you have to be 65 yrs of age to get in. My case worker went to bat for me and set up an assessment where we could assess each other and see if it was a good fit.Sure they are a little older than mebut I saw many of thm out walking the halls and socializing. The rules there ae few but the ones they have are fairly rigid with avenues of dealing with the ones you are not able to do. I'll get three meals a day. It's not like a cafe/restaurant where you order what you want, but if you don't like the menu then you can write and alt for the nxt time they have that said dinner you can have what you prefer. I'll be able to come and go as I want as long as I am quiet and not crazy. I realize thismay be the last place I live and if I don't like it well all I need to do is notify the caseworker and find another place I like better and they will simply trnsfer me. Yes I am nervous because I don't know anyone but I am social as well. As sfor the fastest speed I can get but that will be later.oon as I get set up I will be back to gaming but my concern is it's wifi. I may need some advice how to set up my router I want to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to those members and friends who have supported and assisted me to get to this point in my life. I have till a week from Sunday here at the hotel and they tell me the room should be ready by then. I didn't want to ask for help but some friends insisted so I consented. It seemed every time I thought I was there something would hppen and I had to continue fighting. Hopefully this is the last time I am put off. I feel good about this but alittle time will tell for sure. Again I say thank you to an amazing group of friends

AWESOME UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They rescheduled my assessment for tomorrow. After I posted this I got a call this afternoon and my rep told me she could be here to me tomorrow @ 1 and man am I STOKED!!!!!! I been praying for this but was told it was impossible yet someone cancelled so she put me there. Funny thing is I am across the street from the local DSHS office where she works out of and she will still come tome here at the hotel!

For those of you who want to know I have been living in a motel room for a week now and the donations you gave me put me there. Otherwise I would have been on the streets. I just received a call about my assessment. and was informed they could do it tomorrow @ 1. My stay here runs out on Friday. I have desperately been praying for something to break through and this sure seems like what I have been needing. Thank you all the support whether monetary or spiritual or positive feelings coming my way. I will be in an adult family living until an opening comes up at the assisted living home I want to be in. Thanks again you all are a fantastic group!

I am as I write this , in the process of packing as my time here is ending tomorrow! I do have some options that has popped up but even they are unconfirmed at this minute. I was planning on staying in my car for the interim but it is now in the shop and when I took it there I was given an estimate of $600 to get it running and on the road. Now they want to add $800 for just replacing a power-steering hose. That was what I wanted done to begin with but they did get it running and had to replace the starter to do so. As you might guess I am pretty distressed over the whole thing but I need my car. I guess my two front tires are shot as well but that I can handle later. As of right now I will have to wait till I get paid on April 3rd to get my car out of the shop! Would someone in the know please explain to me why $800 for a replacing of a hose that is pretty accessible? If my options confirm then I will be okay but right now I just might be on the street as of tomorrow!

You said this your backup pc? If so you could test the power supply on you main! If it's not that and there is no power at all then you have a task ahead of you. You could assume it's the motherboard but if you have to replace things I always start with the least expensive!

Go into the settings and see if there is something in there that turns it off. These things can be tricky just finding the right settings! lol
