Joe I'm sorry if you're taking this personally, but if you go back and re-read what I wrote nothing was said or intended as a cheap-shot toward the late night players. On the contrary I agreed with Loader and acknowledged that it will be a problem for those who play in the evening and would probably piss them off, but should we as a clan do what works better for majority of the players or a few? I'm sorry you didn't like the work "fucking" in the poll, but it reflects mine and others frustration at the current system, and since you found it so offensive I have removed the word "fucking" from the poll. If I want to play the same map over and over again I don't need to be online, I can play COD single player forever. One of the main reasons I play online and wound up a memeber of XI is the variety of the maps, and even when you have a good crowd and everybody is having a great time, continually playing the same maps takes a lot away from the gaming experience. I ran this as a poll to see what the majority of the COD2 players want to do, even if that isn't what I want. This poll and my word is far from the final say in the matter. It's just a suggestion for Rugger and the seniors and they can do as they see fit with what I have presented.

I played a few hours yesterday and GOB Rats came up about 5 times, and we were getting a shottie map about 3 times an hour. If the 15 map delay was working and if everybody would vote it wouldn't be as much of a problem. Last night when cheesy came up for the 3rd time in an hour I told the people voting that if a shottie map came up I was going to change it. It came up, and I changed it to one of the old great maps that never comes up for a vote. Almost everybody was happy to see it, except those who want to play shotties 24/7.

The COD2 DM voting system simply isn't working. The same group of 10 or fewer maps are being played over and over again. Would you COD2 DM players prefer going back to the regular rotation or keep the voting system in place? This is a poll and you can cast your vote above. And yes it's ironic that I'm asking you to vote on if we should do away with the voting system.

If there are obvious signs of a beating she won't need to press charges. The police will arrest him regardless if she wants to press charges or not. If you call the cops while they are both at your house and they show up to see her injuries, they will probably arrest him. There are domestic violence laws in this country and the cops usually do a pretty good job of enforcing them. If the cops pick him up he will be immediately deported. If it were my daughter getting beaten, I would leave the cops out of it and have a talk with the boyfriend. My talk would involve beating the shit out of him with a ball bat or with a gun barrel in his mouth, and making it very clear to him that if he can't help himself from beating my daughter, I will absolutely end his life.

That's just the way it goes sometimes. Autobalance is there for a reason, and yes it sucks when you get switched to a losing team but it's just the way it is. In COD2 spectators can screw up the auto balance on TDM. It assigns spectators to a team even though they aren't playing so you can have 5 on one team and 2 on another and the auto balance won't switch people from the higher numbered team because of the spectators.

Yeah I can't blame him. I hear it's much easier than COD2.

Seems like a lot of people have been having trouble lately. Mine says the same thing, but then it connects after about 5 seconds. Do you use Xfire? At least one person couldn't get in because a new version of Xfire fucked up their game settings and he had to re-load everything. Not sure what else to suggest. LOADER, where the fuck are you? He's our go-to man for this kind of stuff.

Actually Joe the comparison is an excellent one. Racism against particularly the Japanese before during and after WWII was rampant in the US and Canada. The Canadian government had internment camps just like the US did. Before WWII Canada had strict limits on the number of immigrants from Japan and China, mainly because Asians were buying up and competing with local fisheries and the Canadians didn't like the competition. Asians owned over half of the fishing businesses in BC prior to WWII. Racism comes in many forms and affects many races. It's just human nature for people of different races and ethnicities to want to live around their own kind, and for them to be distrustful of those who are different from themselves. America may be called the great melting pot, but we have always struggled to be completely diverse and accepting of people who are different than us, and we continue to be that way to this day. I wish it wasn't that way, but it is what it is.

I was quoted somewhere around $16K to do both basements. That's a pretty big expense. And, although you can re-coop the money you put into a kitchen or bathroom remodel when you go to sell later on, you cannot get money back on a dry-basement project. A dry basement is something that's assumed and doesn't otherwise enhance the value of a home like a contemporary remodel of any of the finished living space does. Frequency of these kinds of events, or ones that end up with water seepage into the basements is roughly once every 2 to 3 years. It's been twice already this year, but it's been 2 years since the last episode before that. I was thinking more along the lines of do it yourself and less than $5k. A home inspector can easily spot signs of basement flooding from past years, and while a kitchen or bathroom remodel "might" increase the value of a home, signs of a flooding basement will certainly decrease the value, and probably by much more than $16k.

See, this is what I don't understand. Nobody, ANYWHERE is saying that "she used the word frequently to incite prejudicial action against someone while she was in a position of power." The woman who filed the law suit against her and her brother is white, so if what she is alleging really happened, it certainly didn't happen to her. That's a fair question Ter. I've never been a fan of Paula Deen nor have I ever watched her show or read one of her books. What irks me the most about the entire situation is the character assassination of somebody who spoke truthfully when asked if she had ever used that word in her entire lifetime. You're right, we have zero tolerance for use of that word (or even variations of it) on our servers. I understand the reasoning behind that rule and happen to agree with the rule. But, can you honestly say that that two white guys playing on our server jokingly referring to each other as ni**a makes them racist? What if two black guys came in to play for a while and one referred to the other with the "N" word. Would they be racist? So far many of those who are standing with Paula are blacks. If they don't have a problem with it, why does everybody else? Terry, I'll pose the same question to you. Have you ever said the "N" word in your entire lifetime? If so, should we consider you a racist? Do your daughters listen to hip-hop where the "N" word is used freely and without any kind of restrictions. If your daughters sing along to one of those songs are they racists? I'm not picking on you or your family Ter, just citing examples of how ridiculous this politically correct world has become. The late senator Robert Byrd democrat from West Virgina was a recruiter and high ranking officer with the KKK until the late 1950's. The "N" word was undoubtedly a big part of his vocabulary during those years, and as late as 2001 when giving a nationally televised interview. Here is Bill Clinton at his funeral giving him a pass for his "loose" association with the KKK.
