The stats haven't been hacked (at least not that I know of) but the data feed for COD2 has been corrupted to a point where it can't be used and nothing you read can be trusted. That includes XLR stats and many of the tools we admins use to manage the servers. Hopefully when SittingDuc returns from vacation we can get everything back to normal. In the meantime, just ignore the stats.

My deepest condolences Hickeydog. Although few people ever wants to die no matter how old they are, if you had a chance to ask him how he would have prefered to die (going fast or taking days, weeks or months to die in a hospital or nursing home) he most likely would have chosen to go quickly. I watched my grandpa die back in the 80's in a hospital over the course of two months, and I wouldn't wish that on anybody. His wife (my grandmother) spent the last 10 years of her life in a nursing home until she finally died at age 99 only a couple years ago. As my parents now approach their 80's, I can only hope they are both relatively healthy until a swift end comes.

Yeah, sometimes a good map with tons of spawn raping gets everybody going for a while. Over the last couple weeks when people get bored I'll throw on a map called wawa which is just a rectangular arena with boxes and a spawn killing nightmare. For some reason it brings people out of the word work to play and everybody has a good time. Maps like that are a nice change every few hours, although I usually need at least a one map break after I play it just to let my brain settle down.

I used to camp in the Black Rock desert in northern Nevada and the rocket guy go to the extreme out there. This one went 121,000 feet.

What the hell is everybody talking aboot?

Yeah I heard this last night just before going to bed. I was shocked that so many were killed. These guys are trained very well to avoid situations like that and for so many to have fallen at once means that nobody could have survived what happened to them no matter how well they were trained. The men on these wildfire teams are tough as nails and put their lives at risk on every fire. They were probably all on the same team and were friends. RIP heros.

I haven't noticed any changes to the M1 Pman. Are we talking about the garand or carbine?

At 20 minutes per map that's 3 per hour, or 36 in 12 hours. If an admin is present (which there are during most daylight hours or at the very least on Xfire) they can take special requests and change the maps if a few of the players agree with the map change. We have over 85 maps loaded on the DM server most of which are never seen on the voting list. We could easily go through them all and pick 36 of the best out of the lot. As Bart mentioned earlier, Rugger has put way too much time into tweaking this system and we hate to see him waste any more time on it.

Sure you can BBQ beer. Just put an unopened bottle on a hot grill. Now put your ear very close because you'll hear little bubble noises when it's done. And of course they said it tasted great. They've never had good BBQ before.

And my family wouldn't let me rest until I BBQ'd something for them for dinner. I decided to put them all on meat overload so I got two tri-tips and three racks of baby back ribs. Hopefully this will give them their BBQ fix for at least a week. I'm sweating my balls off but it sure is going to taste good.
