  1. Well, I guess to answer your original question you can fill it with something resin based, but like you said it's hot and moist air passing through the stem and the resin won't handle all of the expansion and contraction as well as the wood will. Eventually it will probably break.
  2. What's the diameter of that round section the hole is in? Is there enough there to work with if you cut away the rotten part and just use that round section? Maybe just re-drill the hole in the center of the grain where it terminates then carve away the part where the current hole is. It may look bigger in the pictures than it really is.
  3. The number 2 thing is to make sure the stern straps are unhooked before backing it in, the drain plug is in, and the winch line is not disconnected until the boat is in the water. I watched some douche bag back a brand new Boston Whaler down a concrete ramp, and then he un-hooked the winch line while the boat and trailer were still about 30 feet above the water. The second he did, the boat rolled off the ez-load trailer and slid down the ramp on its bottom. This was about a minute after I suggested that he not do that until it was much closer to (or actually in) the water.
  4. Well, having spent 30 years in the insurance industry and seeing quite a few flood damaged cars, I can say that under than much water every single seal in the tranny, engine and all of the drive train will have leaked and allowed water to get in. In addition to all of the electronics, complete interior replacement, I seriously doubt if the company that insured it will want to do the repairs.
  5. Anybody who would let that happen has no business owning a boat, or for that matter a car either. That jeep is a total loss.
  6. Sweet little gun Leadfinger. I'm glad to hear you saw the need to put that deer down. Most people would just cringe and keep driving.
  7. Congratulations Randall. Now put that expensive education to good use to go out and build a better world.
  8. Isn't that the same guy that shot himself in the head in a previous video?
  9. Bart, if you were worth a damn at your job you would have fired Logan as your final act as a head admin. Some friend, huh.
  10. Good luck Cobra!
  11. Well done Rami. That's how our members help out the admins and we keep people like that off the servers.
  12. Roger, This is a very sad day but we all must do what we think is best. You have been a huge help to me as an admin since I started nearly 2 years ago, and it has been an honor and a priviledge to game with you and call you a friend. You've earned a rest, now just enjoy playing the game and leave the bad guys to us to deal with. LOM
  13. Syrup, jam, it's all good.
  14. Happy birthday Laz. I hope you have a great one.
  15. Congratulations DA. It's about the easiest stuff in the world to make and tastes great. When I was a kid we had a 10 gallon cast iron pot and would make huge batches of jam over an open fire with fresh berries from the garden for the 4th of July BBQ, and then serve it over buttermilk biskets.
  16. Ok Dawgy it's been nearly a month since you posted that. How's it going, or am I still being impatient?
  17. Admitting you're a lame ass is the first step to the road to recovery.
  18. Great story Leadfinger, and good work releasing that fish so many years ago. I love to eat largemouth bass but on those rare occasions when I go bass fishing I never keep them any longer. However, there is a small lake just a few miles up the road from me where supposedly the world record bass has been caught and released twice, and I might have second thoughts about releasing a million dollar fish should I ever be fortunate enough to catch it.
  19. yes, and one of the funniest jokes I've heard in a while.
  20. Sorry for your loss Merlin.
  21. I always found that the best way to get over a woman was to get under another one.
  22. I have no idea what sewed or sweed is, but oxo are just your average bouillon cubes.
  23. No they can't really charge any less for them. They have to pay the salaries of all of those union people with no more than a high school education a couple hundred thousand a year, then pay them 100% of their salary for the rest of their life when they retire at age 55. If we could get all of those Chinese women and kids that make clothing for Target and Walmart to make our cars and sell them over the internet, a brand new SUV would cost like $5,000.
  24. That's because there is no need for them up there. When a cop pulls somebody over in Canada, they apologize for speeding, the cop apologizes for pulling them over, and then they both just go on their way.
