I have had large surround sound systems ever since they were available to the public. Then I got married. For twenty years I have had to live with a down scaled version of what I was use to. Old system had a actual 31 inch subwoofer I built into the house. Recently I have rebuilt my living room and turned it into a entertainment room. For this I decided I wanted great sound again. I ordered a new sub woofer by HSU research. Model number VTF-15H MK2. All I can say is wow the sound quality is unbelievable for both music and movies, it is one of the few Subs on the market that will go all the way down to 18hz. I got quite a bit of griping from the wife on its size but once she heard and felt it during a movie the griping stopped a little bit. With the sound system I have and now a great sub woofer along with a 75 inch 4 k tv. I doubt I will be going to a theater any time soon. Just waiting on the new furniture to finish off the room now

A cheap start is to thin down some dry wall mud and use a paint roller to apply it. Then prime and paintOr purchase some stipple paint

At one point in my system I had a weak signal through my house. I use Asus routers with wifi. They made a extender that I added to my system and it worked great. Not sure what the range was but it could have been placed quite a ways from the router with a extension cable. Check the manufacturer of the router you are losing and see if they make one for it. Mine hardwired to it
