Entry Level Brewing Is Not That Much Work Beers... You should try an India Pale Ale made from Extract & Some Specialty "Crystal" Malt. Use Fuggle Hops (williamette if you cannot find them) To Bitter & Goldings To Finish... Use 2 Cans 4lb Alexanders Light Malt Extract & 3/4 lb of 40 to 60 L. Crystal Malt. Steep the Crystal Malt at 155 F in a Grain Bag For 30 Mins in 1 1/2 Gals of water. Remove Bag of Grains & Add 5 more Gal & bring to a boil. Then add malt extract from cans (stir the kettle while you add!!!! otherwise you will scortch the malt at the bottom of the kettle). Bring to a boil, then add Bittering hops. Boil 60 mins & add finishing hops. Cool, Ferment (In a 6 gallon Glass Carboy) & enjoy. My Favorite Yeast Is Liquid Culture Wyeast #1968....

Wow! That's a great looking beer! Love the name! Plus its my favorite Pat Benatar song! Maybe we can get a "send-a-sampler-six-pack" thing going. I'd be glad to send you some of ours in exchange for some of yours. We're about to start shooting a video podcast about homebrewing. I wanted to include a segment called "Mail Call" for tasting beers sent in by members and viewers. We did a double decoction Dopplebock (OG 1.107 ) on the 5th. It took all day. While we we doing that one we also did an easy drinking cream ale in another mash tun. Then we we ran 5 more gallons of wort off the spent grain from the Dopplebock and ended up with a 1.047 Maibock/Dunkel (whatever, it'll get drank). We used Wyeast Munich for it, I'm sure it's gonna be nice. In all, our brew club did about 30 gallons that day. It was awesome! Very Very Nice!!!!

I Own One. Paid $169 8 years ago when they first came in. Be careful though, the bores can be hit or miss. If you get stuck with a worn barrel, go to sportsmanguide & buy a "new old stock" one!!!! The action is not quite as slick a a K98 but sure is accurate. Also, the reciever is shorter than the K98.... Its a Great Gun!
